My folder installation didn´t have the spotter plugin dll,but everything worked following the instructions Sry if it was asked before, but how is the command line to rf2 starts Crew Chief? Great plugin
Hi Luis, you could try passing RF2_64BIT, though I usually just use "run immediately" preference to start previously started mode.
Hi iron Wolf, Could you please explain it again in other words? I think I did not make myself understood correctly. Thanks in advance
Louis, what are you trying to achieve? Do you want Crew Chief to start rFactor 2 automatically for you (by passing command line parameter) or, do you want to start Crew Chief in rFactor 2 mode (as if you selected rF2 in the game list and pressed start button)? I am not very familiar with this part of CC functionality, but I'll have a look at what's possible (once I know what to look for)
@The Iron Wolf I´ll take some screenshots to show what i´m trying to say. Just a minute This screenshot from rf2 launcher shows that box with "command line interface parameters". I think I read it here on the forum that could be put in that field a command to start any aplication with rf2. So, what i´m thinking if it is possible if when i launch rf2, Crew Chief could start automatically if i put the right command to do this. Like for example: run "/path/"Crewchief.exe
Those command line parameters are for rF2. This command line cannot be used to start Crew Chief. You could create a batch script to launch both CC and rF2. I personally use a PowerShell script that starts bunch of things before I start rF2 (and then stop them), I could share my scripts with you guys, but they need to be edited for everyone's configuration, and I won't have time to answer questions about them.
Thanks for explaining @The Iron Wolf I think i could make windows start the aplication with the system then, since this pc is mostly exclusive for rf2 Cheers
version 4.6.6.1 is out, a lot of goodies. We've made changes to make Stock Cars experience better (different wording for yellow flag phase, and different tire/brake temp/wear calculations) and also introduced "Realistic Mode" http://thecrewchief.org/showthread.php?115-quot-Realistic-mode-quot-explained Super huge thanks to @mr_belowski for his continued work on the Crew Chief! Plus, huge thanks to forum user Scoops, who mapped a lot of tracks in this version
Does anyone know where to download this file ? http://crewchief.isnais.de/Personalisations.zip I am hoping that this will enable us to add our own names, correct me if I am wrong. Crew Chief Installation was very easy, kudos to the maker !
Hello, this is no longer needed. Personalizations are built in - just download them by clicking rightmost sound button.
Thanks for the quick reply, Iron Wolf How does one go about adding ones own names ? Is there a readme available ?
Good day, I love your crew chief and i have a queston, can we use the crew chief with DX11? Thank you for you time
Mr Belowski and The Iron Wolf, Just a brief word of thanks for your unbelievable Crew Chief ! Installation was flawless and we had a very entertaining evening racing. This week I will attempt getting speech recognition up and running. £5 beer money just sent !
When update 4.6.6.2 was released, Crew Chief stopped having any voice lines whatsoever. It plays the background noise only. I tried doing a clean reinstall (using revo uninstaller to hopefully grab anything left behind) and the problem persisted, so I waited for an update since I wasn't sure what else to do. The most recent update hasn't fixed it either, and I tried doing another fresh install. I primarily use Crew Chief for rFactor 2, but I also tested it in Project CARS to get the same result. Messages volume is turned up, so it's not something simple like that. The console for Crew Chief does report that it's processing data, and when it reports something is when I get the background noise playing. Any ideas for a fix?
Can you post the console window output please. I need everything from when you start the app (so I can see the initialisation messages) up to the 'green green green' message
Hmm... can't see anything obviously wrong. The app isn't caching any of the sounds - do you have cache_sounds and load_sounds_on_startup checked in the Properties screen?
