What do you want to tell us with this pic??
You don´t believe by yourself that THIS is the ground where all the racing cars drive on!?
    It´s not even asphalt.

it´s maybe a shot before (re-)pavement is done

Thanks for this track, excellent work once again! Fits very nicely to Skippy for example. Perfect training to master braking in and accelerating out of tight and slow corners. :)

Thanks to Tosch too. Somehow it looks little bit better than ISI's profile IMHO.

A typical race surface is using a mix of aggregate (rocks) and bitumen. What you see in the Spa Eau Rouge close up it's a typical situation of mid to high wearing, where almost the entire aggregate layer is exposed above the bitumen. This means your car will get more grip and more tire wear due the sharpness of the exposed aggregate layer. When both the aggregate and the bitumen start wearing, it's time to repave the surface. So yes, what you see in that picture is asphalt, intended as the aggregate/bitumen mixture...even sometimes the same term is used to describe just the bitumen.

While the performance of the track as well the overall look is nice, there are textures in use which i would never use, especially some hills on the horizont are very poor. Some cam positions while looking a replay zooms those bad looking hill textures in and destroys the immersion. As well some trees and bushes are not matching well to the souround while the most are good the brighter green ones are looking terrible but the most bad are the horizont of the track. Than those bad looking car models and crowds around the track with bad coloring and poor modeling destroys the immersion as well. Those handfull bad looking objects kills the overall feeling imho. On triple there is the issue with stretched side view where the grass is looking mario kart like. There is still much room to improve the look while the cockpit view is the most important for me it shouldn't look bad on diff views and cam positions as well.

We can't map 20Km^2 of hills with high res textures. That's how games are working using compromises.

To bad it's the limit of possibility's you guy's seems to have but it should be possible while passing the QA to realise it looks bad and may change the position of the track cam was a solution than instead to say that's how games work. It's not a compromise, it's a fault by the artist trying to create visual world.

    This!

You guys have done a great job on the circuit, better than some other sims where users claim it looks far better than rF2.
But this suggestion is really something you guys should take serious.
It would leave a much better impression on most ISI tracks if the track side cams where better placed.
I am not sure if you guys try to recreate the TV cams or just don't give it that much attention.

I just yesterday checked the new iracing circuits and they really have the track side cams spot on.
They show the tracks as good as they can be. The asphalt, curbs and the grass near to the track have awesome textures but everything else is just bad, and I mean really bad and you can't see all that stuff in the replays there.

Yes. Something like that would never pass my QA. A great and impressive work killing by this simple faults.
