I know the FIA banned elevated wings after 1969, but why ban the mounting points on the suspension? Due to placing the wing mounts on the car itself, the springs then had to be stiffened greatly and the handling of the old days was lost....
I think they were used to dry the washed racing overalls faster ...Did these first very tall wings improve aerodynamics much back then? They sure look beautiful, but when I drive them they don´t seem to improve from the same car without them. Not talking about the mod itself but historically.
