Hi, this plugin is amazing, thank you. I'm new to RF2 and all its complexity so forgive me if my question does not make sense. I'm using WGL widget a lot - the grip graphs are very helpful with improving driving technique. Grip graphs seem ok but car height is something I dont quite get. Im using F1 mod and when on full speed I always get red bars - car is bottoming or suspension is compressed 100%? Im guessing that parameters: MinHeight = 2.0 MidHeight = 5.0 MaxHeight = 10.0 from WGL[N].txt file should be adjusted for specific car? Which parameters should be taken from .MAS files of my mod?
I am having difficulties figuring out where I can see the damage of my car. I have it set up like this, and would assume that it is somewhere in the LCD Display. Couldn't find anything in the help documents either. Thanks.
You must decrease the MinHeight value into the txt file of the WGL you are using... currently when your car height is lower than 2 cm to the ground, bars look red.
If I recall (you could read this thread), damage cannot be included in a plugin because the data to populate it is not made available. This sucks, because it means that you have to continue to use the standard ISI HUD message centre to see damage. It sucks even more that the ISI HUD cannot be moved to the location of your choice the way all the widgets here can. If I have this wrong, someone please tell us how!!! I would love to know.
You would have to create a new rfcmp for the HUD, to get in into the game, but you can move the HUD-Screens to every Position by using the DevModes Hud Editor.
Thanks for the answer. So we don't have any detailed info about damage in this game? It just shows the damage in terms of colors on the tire hud, no percentage display what is damaged and how much damage it has?
Is this relative or absolute? I just want to move mine to the "bottom right corner" of my screen. Is it resolution-specific, or can someone talented just make up a few obvious variations like bottom-right, top-right, etc.?
There is one widget in trackmap that does show some damage. It's the one that looks like an open wheeler. I use it and if i hit a wall front on the front wing on the widget will turn red. This works great for me when i race in F1 mod and if contact is made to front wing and it comes off it shows. I think this works on the rear wing as well but not sure about sides or motor damage. Flat or missing wheels is shown too. Its better than nothing i guess. Try it! Edit: its called wearsdamage widget under select object/wear.
Do the same thing with the official damage indicator on (bottom-right corner instead of the timing info). And try several types of damage, not just the most extreme ripping a wheel right off the car.
I did say "it does show some damage" and that "its better than nothing" and thats what it does compared to any of the other trackmap widgets.
Frontwing (Grid) damaged/lost. But this could be very different from car to car. It depends how the car was build and wich parts are removeable and wich not. For example the above posted car ist the Celica 1987, where the frontwing is separated from the carbody to simulate damage. In the original Celica 1986 it wasn`t separated, so no damage was shown (visualy).
Hello Can you explain me how to remove the ISI HUD, because i have the Trackmap HUD and ISI HUD at the same time I don't know where to deactivate the isi hud Thanks Cya
What does the `EnableControllers` Setting mean? Also is there a way to avoid the conflicts with moving the map and adjust the seat and mirrors?
