For the sound : I had also this impression with a high end sono. It was at the beginning, now I am OK with it. sorry for my english
I'll try to listen to the videos before taking the car for a spin, and play with these settings tonight, I'll let you know. I understand it can be really difficult to talk about sounds: we have different devices, different ears, then english is not my mother tong… Thank you!
I'll do my best. I need time because now I'm busy with the GP3. I can try it with headset, thanks for suggestion. And, when I'll work on it, maybe it could be a good idea if you both could test a beta before the public release. Thank you
Sure! Thank you for looking into it. In the meantime, later today I'll try to tweak rF2 sound settings to see if it can be worked-around this way and report.
So I listened again at the video from post #35. I must admit I had forgotten how good the sound was there, I like it! It is much deeper, with more details, than what I can hear in game with my headset. I played with the different volume sliders, tried to lower the number of effects but didn't get a significant change unfortunately. I thought I found something when trying the 7.1 sound settings; but then everything was much quieter, I could barely hear the engine! And after increasing the overall volume so I could hear something, I had much less details. Probably logical, since with my headset I should have only part of the sounds then? But it was still quite high-pitched compared to the video... Not sure if this will help you... Take your time of course, this should remain a hobby for you! And the GP3s must keep you busy for sure!
I've also try various things including using 7.1 (enabled in the configuration program of my sound card) with my Hi-Fi headphones, to no avail. It seems slightly less pronounced (but still jarring and fatiguing), but this is because of the different audio mix in 7.1. Also huge loud distorted downshifting sound.
I'll jump in to test this too. I don't recall anythng like this when testing befoe, but maybe I missed something then
MR1 is now updated to the full rain features and we also improved other details for graphics and physics. I hope to release the new public build soon. Main changes are: added brake response curve added driver's change improvements to CPM tires updated shadows to new rules updated undershadows to new rules full raindrops and wiper effects (Chris "redapg & Slow Motion)
First post has been updated with the NEW BUILD 1.36 Enjoy this little beast, now ready for Endurance Races... come on guys! Thank you.
Just gave the new 1.36 a race around Silverstone national circuit. Thank you again for another wonderful mod. A real pleasure to drive with great (ease of) control on the counter-steer.
I was thinking to add the position led to this mod that IRL ran few endurance races... In addition the led during the pit change to yellow to show the elapsed time. Does it make sense? This is WIP, led font, etc... need to be correctly positioned a little bit... but what is your opinion guys?
Sound is still garbled and very unpleasant at some engine regimes especially when downshifting. This is the only car in rF2 that is like this. That's the only thing that prevents me from spending more than 10 min at a time with this car as my ears tell me to use something else...
We have discussed it long time ago also with the owner of the car, sorry... It is more or less what happens also with the abarth... For instance on my pc I use a 7.1 speakers and don't hear a bad
Can we add another two LEDS and letters ? Because I always get too excited driving this great little car and always come L..A..S..T
Yes please! We are using this great car in an Endurance championship with S397 Endurance pack (different class of course haha) Our first race is this weekend. See details here http://rf2asia.com/current_series/world-tour-2018
Just sayin'... I am only 5 seconds off the slowest LMP3 car in qualifying and 10 seconds off the slowest GTE. THis runs in a different class, but if people crash out, I can both have fun and get points!. Someone complained about the roll bar blocking the view (cos driver is in the middle of the car) but you can disable that in the tuning menu.
