Can I clarify please, this is not intended to you or anyone else directly, question is to ADMIN of ISI forums, which this is one of them....ISI have stated, this is for scratch built or conversions...THAT HAVE PERMISSIONS, by all means post your track WIP, which I must say Oulton is looking awesome, but here at ISI is not the place........problem is with ISI, not us/we as modders, ISI seem to choose when to remove content as they feel, if illegal conversions are allowed to be posted here , and it is against THEIR guidelines for these forums, we ALL should respect that......would be nice if TIM could respond and sort this out, afteral, he is the forum moderator I think...;.....and yes I do have illegal, and better converted tracks in my rf2 game, but in saying this, I would like people to have these track/car mods.....but they are listed on OTHER sites, NOT here.....as per ISI guidelines......ok lets see if ISI responds
If this problem shows up, it is caused by a missing entry in the tracks gdb file. If it's not present, the AI steers too soon into the pit exit direction, when they are leaving the garage. It is the "GarageDepth = " entry. For Oulton Int, i use the entry GarageDepth = 3.2 that works. I guess all other layouts use the same garages, so the line can be added into all gdb files. But i will have a look at the other layouts anyway, when i start with the AIW file creation. And it's also reported to Nuno already.
Nice finding...seems there is a dedicated person on the right place //Edit: by the way, do we need a rF2-New-Style Load screen?
Just had a go at Oulton Park for the first time in my life. Wow. Not really a suitable track for racing (still doable though) but for driving lap after lap it is fabulous. It reminds me a bit of Brands Hatch with the feeling you get from the track. It looks very very nice too. Only few things keeps it away from being top notch. One of them is very rough elevation changes. Rapid. Like you are hitting stairs on some occasions and small details like curbs here and there. The little things really. All in all very pleasantly surprising experience. I really hope to see this track being developed further because it deserves it. Thanks for this driving heaven.
Just so you know mate, This track is astonishing for racing. Most of my fave sim racing experiences are around here on iRacing and actually last Friday evening in the Clio's was brilliant. Also, it compares well with the iRacing version. Feels pretty damn accurate almost everywhere. Awesome.
Clios, sure. But not freakin GTE and DW12! ^^ I tell ya, if there's a GTE race and cars are pretty much even on pace (drivers are driving on the same level) and no one makes any mistakes, or at least any major mistakes then passing is almost impossible Sure you can pass here but even at AMP passing is easier than here. It's one of my most favourite tracks out there now. Easily top 10
If i read these statements, i have to ask if it is necessary to create new AIW files? Do the AI seriously needs an improvement?
You mean leaving the garages?--> i've already posted the solution Crash in the chicane--> i will tell them No, seriously, i will take a look at the chicanes paths line, then. But sometimes that can't be influenced by the AIW file. Which chicane? Or all chicanes?
I observed it on the second chicane, Oulton Park International. All 3 Cars are AIW`s, the red/white it`s me
Looks like someone added this object after AIW creation. There should be an collision corridor to tell the AI not to cut the curve.
Yes, some things come together at that chicane. Fastest and Block Path are very close to the tirewall, collision corridors are not too bad but can be moved a little bit. To start with the AIW work, i have to wait until Nuno has finished his 3D work, which is not "done in 5 minutes". After he gives the OK, i will take a serious look at it and see what i can do. And Jürgen, what AI setting do you use for AI Aggresion?
Hot damn. The NC + t70 spyder = mmmmmmmmmmm Would love to see some mesh updates or give permission for mesh updates...
Wow! Whats the history on this track?(VR version) I just ran my first few laps this evening, after some heavy testing at iR's Fosters over the weekend. The track felt identical, really impressed!
