Yup. Amazing how much more realistic a track can feel with just an update to a guardrail (not to minimize all the other great work you've done Nuno )
Hi Nuno. Awesome work on these 3D-trees. And to add a question: Is it possible to slightly animate these trees? Just a little swaying in the wind would make the whole scenery more alive and immersive.
You can do this with the billboard trees when setup correctly and ISI enables "wind and crowd motion" in sim. It works in Devmode since the very first build. See page 13 of the track technology doc. http://downloads.imagespaceinc.com/rf2/modsresources/rF2_Track_Technologyv3.pdf
Did some bushes and I'm sharing the exported renders in .png format tjat you can use in billboard. I have the 3D models and textures too with 2939 poligons that I can share too if some of you want... Just send me a PM asking for. Enjoy
Lines in diferent objects for diferent grip purposes... Just a test... Here's the link for line texture and bump map. Here Feel free to use it as you want...
This looks great! Are you going to improve the grass textures and what's about the pitlane buildings?
Everything will be improved but some details will be improved faster. That's the order I'm trying to make, - 3d Trees - Road lines with independent mesh - Kerbs with real road shader - Get cars reflecting the track. - Texture updates for Pitlane buildings and walls In that point track will be ready to race. After that with limited time (I'm developing a website based on simracing tutorials) I will update what I can.
Im back..... Lines are now independent mesh with its own grip levels, Reflections on cars are working too and much much more... Somewhere on www.endless-resources.org its a download link for v0.85... search for it...
