I see the issue is reported but, as low end PC user (E6600 and ATI HD 4870, in XP), i can confirm fps here are about the half compared to Croft.
Dumb question maybe, but will a long race work here with more than 12 cars? I only count about 12 possible pit spaces. Are they shared?
Hi, sorry for the late reply. AIW need some improvements, there is a little mess with garages and pits. I will try to fix this ASAP. I already sent to few people patch which fixes black screen issue, and it looks like it works fine now, but before it goes public I want to fix few others things (and mess with garages too)
i don't know why it is but i got a big difference in FPS when turning mirrors on and off on your two amazing!! tracks. maybe you could figure it out. while the mirrors are off i got about 100 FPS and with them on it drops to 60 FPS. if you need more info on that just say
Get rid of that experimental 3D grass, and make sure terrain is a bit darker under trees. Perhaps it would be good to remove some reflections or at least change material settings to reduce them. Mostly on some barrels and garage doors. Barrels seem to have too much fresnel max, making them look a bit like carpaint. Also, for materials that should have "blurry" reflections, you may want to try reflection mapper with very small cubemap (8x8 or maybe even 4x4). As for the mirror thing - I'd suggest reducing number of objects visible in mirrors and perhaps decreasing far clip plane a bit (personally I'd prefer to have pretty high far plane setting, but that would require better game engine).
Hey, nice update. Especially the 3d-crowd is a nice feature, because the old "flat" crowd looked really ugly up close (of course with the exception of real people captured which are reading here )...
Downloaded but the rfcmp file seems to be corrupted, and now the link to the download isn't working...too many people excitedly trying to download I expect
Yup link working and I am redownloading...he he always enjoy that moment of anticipation with something new from feels3.
