2.19 is the old version, the one we already had before. Those 3 files was probably the other one from the 2 updated (either FPro or Indy). I can't find the official changelog, but here you got those versions mentioned in a post from over a year ago: https://forum.studio-397.com/index.php?threads/oreca-07-missing-files.68938/#post-1060464
Yea, I think I jumped the gun. The v2.19 was probably the 24hr Virtual car...fwiw... the TEST Oreca 07 is listed at v0.93. Odd to that much lower than the current carset.
Hi. I'm having a problem with the sound. In the RC all was mostly good, I could tune it in for all but a couple of the cars I tried. Now, testing todays build and new content, while driving the infiniti , my car sounds great, with a decent sfx mix but I can't hear the other cars. I followed one around for a few laps, getting beside, in front, behind, could only a hear a slight murmer or fart every now and then lol. Is there recommended settings to start with? Like I said, it was great in the RC. Regards.
None of my passed saved replays are showing after the update. Is this meant to be the case? Are old replays not supported? I still see the replay files in my replay folder.
Fairly common when they make changes to the replay system, they have to ignore older content. You 'should' be able to view it by using the beta tab in Steam and choosing an older version to launch.
2021 skins on the 2018 car. Indy is a spec series, the current car is the Dallara IR18 which was first used in 2018 and continues to be the car which all further seasons have been based upon. So on the car selection menu, find Indycar, then the only option 'should' be the IR 18 and the list of cars displayed should be v1.43. First car displayed should be the Black/Pink Meyer/Shank Racing car.
Hi studio 397. I made a short test on the q2 bundle and it's pure porn ! The physics are just amazing and the tracks... WOw, this is nearly perfection. The step up is clearly there since last update. Fantastic job done. I always trusted in this sim, but now, i will no more need to justify why lol Cheers
Well, it's very confusing indeed. He's right that on the Store Page, it says 2021 in the blurb. When you look in the Content manager window, the file names have 2020 in them. And in fact, the driver roster and paints are in fact largely from 2022, though some are 2021. Case in point, there is the Meyer Shank #06 and #60, piloted by Helio Castroneves and Simon Pagenaud; but in 2021, the main driver was Jack Harvey. You'll also find David Malukas who wasn't driving in 2021; the DHL car is piloted by Romain Grosjean etc. The main issue is to make sure you have version 1.43 listed at this point. If you've just bought it, this should be the version you have. If you bought it before v1128 (i.e. when we were still at v1126, which you can see during track loading) then it may not have updated yet. Plus, while they had a Release Candidate (beta) active for a few weeks, there was also a TEST folder which had a temporary build of the IndyCar. Right now, I only see a temporary Oreca in the Test folder. Also, for the person who mentioned it, there is still the INDYCAR folder that has both the DW12 and the IR18 in it.
Does the version show in the workshop list? https://forum.studio-397.com/index.php?threads/missing-dlc-tutorial.62565/
How about updating the content I already own and paid for! No new FFB and no new sounds for existing content like sayyyyyy the GT3s
Hi. I've tried speakers, headphones, messing around with the sliders and the number of sound sources. Nothing changes it for me. Headphones were slightly better, while driving right beside another car if I fully let off gas I could just faintly hear the car. I pulled just off track, killed the engine and could barely hear the cars racing by 2 meters away, yet my cars loud enough to annoy the hell out of the wife while driving lol. Regards.
Yeah, it is a bit soft. I turned the cockpit sound way up and the engine sound down to like 10% and still couldn't hear the other cars except faintly. We may have to compare youtube cockpit footage from sedans and then from open cockpits.
Same issue here. But I have not experienced this before and older replays are still available and I can watch them - it applies to replays of last two or three weeks only.
A big shout out to the day-night transition at Donington. Start a race at 8am, with weather set to sunny, and marvel at the imperceptibly smooth increases in light levels and the early morning sun catching your eye through the trees. Spectacular.
Does anyone have a smooth experience with special effects higher than low in the settings ie with sparks showing ?
Once again, shout out to the team for working on 3 tracks at the same time. I can't believe that we went from "we're working on things but we can't tell" to "hey guys, you'll have Donington, Brands and Laguna in 10 days". Thanks for that, and the first FPro race looked amazing yesterday!!! Keep pushing, guys
