My heart literally skipped a beat when I saw this posted on FB. Such great news man!! Oh, this track is just one of my absolute favorite 3rd party tracks for rF2. Such high quality and such an amazing layout. Can't wait to try out the kart track. THANK YOU!
Thanks Tos. I was going a little crazy thinking the track didn't install as I couldn't find it, but it is under St Petesburg
Awesome updates and what a surprise bonus of the kart track, too!! Wow. One issue, though--where is the kart pit lane and service spots? I got an immediate stop and go for leaving the pits early, but couldn't find where to serve my penalty!!
Great stuff, ToS. Thank you . This track is back on my short list now (and it is a very short list ). Does anyone know how I can reduce painted line jaggies? There use to be a keystroke that would blur them but then I think ISI turned that setting on by default? Regardless, I have since forgotten the keystroke. Or are jaggies here something different? I don't recall noticing it on other tracks so maybe it is now a setting that has to be set by the track?
Nope, Edit instead player.json and set this value: "Texture Sharpening":0, "Texture Sharpening#":"Sharpen textures using MIP LOD bias - 0=Off, 1=+2.0(very blurry), 2=+1.0(blurry), 3=-1.0(sharp), 4=-2.0(very sharp), 5=0.0 At least, 0 is the good value for me, no more jaggies lines, exactly like CTRL M did previously
5 auto default setting means that the track creator settings will be used, which in this case need some adjustment. There are a bunch of converted tracks that have this same white painted line issue. It relates to transparency settings for the texture, but I am not an expert in precisely how to get rid of it, nor do I know how much work it might be. ToS, do you know about this? Setting to 0 will override the white lines here, but might also cause some negative impact on some other track where the author used a non-zero setting on purpose for beneficial reasons.
I actually love the shaking cameras. Makes for some truly awesome replays. Maybe one camera group could stay shaky and the other could be stable? Just a thought.
Did you try the NSX and the Neva Ring? First try alone, and when you feel confident sliding on each curves after some laps, try a race You'll see a bunch of NSX on 2 wheel able to go through the second chicane at high speed and getting back on the four wheel. Did I said Insane? not yet, here it it: Insane Thanks TOS, that's the more intensive track if you're not afraid to scratch some paints and have an heart attack! Oh, now I need to try the Kart layout!
Great thnx, great update. About Cameras, they shake a little to much for my taste. Reducing this a little will be welcome.
Agree regarding camera shake too much would be great to remove or have an option without as could make some sick.
Sorry for OT but just wanted to say thanks again guys regarding texture sharpening advice. It worked perfectly and also seems to have helped a lot with guardrail shimmering at Zandvoort
