Made a new version http://www.mediafire.com/download/h8apdihmw379nwx/ToS_NevaRing_v045.rfcmp -fixed transparency of some plants -some changes AIW -starting lights -new starting grid -new objects on the track -more bumpy road (test) Friends, thank you for your feedback. Your comments are very helpful in the development.
Thanks for the update, track looks very good. The new tire stacks are a welcome addition, as are the pit lights and starting grid. I didn't really notice the new bumpiness of the track, so I can't really comment on that one way or another. Only issues I have are performance based. The track seems very heavy on resources, so FPS dips at quite a few points around the track. I'm sure this is due to the size and quality of the track, so hopefully some optimizations will be done to reduce the drops. Also, I don't know if this is directly tied to FPS decreases, but I notice a lot more screen tearing on this track, more than any other in rF2. It is especially noticeable while coming out of the pits, and the front straight. FPS seems to drop there more than the rest of the track, so it might be just an FPS issue...but I thought I'd share it regardless. Otherwise, very nice update to Neva Ring, coming along very well.
Thx for the update! Also noticing it being heavy on fps. Otherwise though it works like a charm. Don't forget to add brake markers in the future though
very good track but I've some graphic problems with it : some stutters, low fps...if you can fix it, thank you in advance.
Tos (and everyone else) join our event this week on this brilliant track: http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.p...Neva-Ring-with-the-Panoz-Roadster-all-welcome
Few observations Tos, Laptimer starts when exiting pitlane (except for the very first time) (this is not at finish line i think so might be open for abuse) (garage) Tents are closed when we are parked and/or leaving garage. Your file naming: in modmanager its tos_neva, in vmod selection its neva Ring, in rf2 list its test track. (pretty sure you know and its wip, just thought i'd mention it) Getting quite a few reports of heavy hits in the fps department. in current state (fps wise) this track probably wont be successful (enough!) online i'm afraid. we are already on the verge of changing venue atm as we don't want members to not attend, so far we keep trying though and peeps will have to change settings in order to drive.
I remember this track back in rFactor. Great little track, always fun in the slower cars. Shame its gone now.
Waooo, excellent! I already had lot of fun with Neva Ring and ISI Kart! this new configuration seems perfect for them
Me too. This is GREAT. The bumps are perfect, too!!! Edit - And the flow is excellent for these vehicles. More forgiving than Quebec but I'm looking forward to Quebec but for some reason it seems some seat time elsewhere might be best.
How's progress? Looking forward for an update on my new favorite track. Btw Tim just posted a race he did on your track. Cool stuff.
