[Virtua_LM] Official tracks' topic (last update: 06-14-2014)

Thank you.

But this is not Fuji I remember from rF1/GTR2 days. That was different Fuji.
It was some mid 80s version

about Mid Ohio track
with the new rF2's cut-track rules the track have problems with warnings and black flags

for online leagues it could be a problem and a sr4l friend fixed it

i) Turn 1 - apexing anywhere near the kerb separating the pit exit from the track resulted in a cut-track. Now fixed.
ii) Pit exit - joining the track before the proper blend line will now result in a cut-track. Do not be tempted to cut across early!

i think fixed version could be very useful for online and offline use too.

the question is:
can we have Virtua_LM permission for a public release of the Mid Ohio fixed version?
@MonSum @ethone @Nugit [Virtua_LM]
Nugit
where are you? :)

p.s. and if you (VLM) want to update yourself the track, we could send you the fixed version

And an authorisation to at least upscale textures and rebalance them, as S397 did with Toban and Mills Metro (the .json file with the materials' overriding parameters probably could be used as a reference to speed up the process)? Pretty please, with a cherry on top?

On Apex Modding Team’s discord channel Gwee says me:

The full track with the fix and other improvements can be released, just provide credit to VLM
They (Virtua_LM) disappeared but this was shared by them In dev forum

Monsum was the last guy to be around, he left the scene about 9.5 years ago, and it's why they took that stance. They were done with modding and supporting rFactor.

Mid-Ohio has just received new tarmac, so it might make sense to make this an historical(ish) track and keep it rugged as it has been until now.
