By the way, just so you're aware, while we are testing, we are not announcing track licenses, announcing we are building, announcing they are released in a big way, etc. After testing, when we want to try to attract those from outside the existing rF community, we will be doing that. That's one of the reasons for the little clues, etc, rather than just coming out with it. But you guys seem to enjoy debating and guessing also.
From rF2 Twitter feed: https://twitter.com/rFactor2/status/243394537920290817 http://rfactor.net/web/rf2/screens2/wipscreens/#0912 Ok now this is just torture! Give it to us already!!
I always troll Youtube clips for people wearing gloves in doors, lol. I didn't get gloves to drive an actual F2 car so it doesn't seem right, lol. Edit: Oh good lord, just seen the pics above my post, I don't think i'll sleep for about a week once the F2 gets released. I love you ISI!!!!

To me mirrows often looking to sharp on the border side. I have drawn a little shadow inside the mirror. I am not sure if this is a good idea and if this is even possible, cause i think there is a global material for the mirrows !?!?! http://www.abload.de/img/bcvbcvbxcvd2p11.jpg cant wait for rf2 gold version sry for my english
I noticed this as well--on almost all cars, but particularly with these F2 screenshots--mirrors don't feel 'integrated' into the cars. They could use some grunge textures lightly overlaid on top, recessed into the mirror a little bit (a slight gap for adjustable mirrors), and slight bit of AO (similar to what you showed, just toned down a bit).
In real life, you cannot see any shadows or lighting on fully reflective surfaces: Shadows near mirror's edges may look "nice" but they're also unrealistic. Or simply put - wrong. The only thing on mirror that can react to lighting (and therefore has shadows) is dirt / dust. Clean mirrors will not have any shadows.
Oh right...duh...'cause it's reflective...and reflective things don't really receive shadows--they just reflect the back side of the shadow caster...
Yeah, but of course no surface in reality is 100% clean, so there will always be some faint shadow. Still, it will take dirty surface or not fully reflective for the shadow to become apparent.
Damn can you post it now, Im heading of on a shark dive trip tomorrow and so wont get to run any laps till sunday. So no offense to all others here but either up it now or wait a few days to fine tune a bit more lol.
Would you take such high risks right now? If you get eaten by a shark.......you die without ever driven the F2!
Lol true that but its worth a chance and they are harmless anyway, would suck losing an arm as I would need to start using auto gears. I could still drive with one leg so maybe if it comes to it I will offer my left leg first as I dont use the clutch much in sims. There will be 50 to a hundred sharks, so if one gets started the others will probably take the rest and I wont get a choice of what is taken. Here is my last dive at this site I think its the most awesome place, but not for everyone going by the comments section hehe. I do hope to get to drive the f2 when I get back. And here is the biggest one we saw last time, it made us all pay attention. This time I have much better camera gear so should get some cool video if I make it back.
