I was happily running in 5th or 6th but I made the mistake of trusing the fuel lap estimate, so I had to refuel at the end and slipped down to 9th.

 

Just want to let you all know that the SR4L/F3 Fanatics ongoing "Just 4 Jun" series has us running at Castle Combs.

Practice, and please come to practice, starts at 4:00pm Arizona time.
Quallie starts at 4:30pm Arizona time.
5 minute warmup
Then the race starts... approximately, 5:05pm.... once again, Arizona time.

Race went fine, great attendance, I even got to beat Tucker again

I had a good race till I made some mistakes, hit Bullwinkle (sorry old chap) and then later spun/stalled in traffic just as I was becoming a lap car...not so good. But attendance was awesome! 20 drivers on the grid! And only one was a Spark... ...

 

22 drivers on grid... the Spark driver went from 6th to 21st (and back to 11th), so he knows, LOL. DD & ISR 3 squares made the grid at the last minute. The race was a little messier than usual...I don't think there was anybody who didn't tangle with someone else.

Race start was first time I turned a wheel in rF2, double fuel never helped, flat spotted lap 1, ran wide at least 10 times, heated tyres on grass etc never waited from them to cool and had a lengthy wait for Sjak ( I think ) whom I rear ended. soz p

Real rookie stuff ... lol

Though re-passing cars a number of times was fun.

 

I TRY to TELL People WHAT HAPPENS when you mix the Community pack with ISI cars, no one listens lol


This is since your race at CastleCombe .... and Mat's car was not even used.




and it puts all wierd folders and files in settings >>>> loool

P.S.

Solved: nothing to do with mixing mods/transfers although that still does have issues.

It is a conflict between Mats skin and Mountain Forest, Boxer thinks in the naming.

Crazy race.. Which track is it this weekend?

 

Lime Rock no chicanes is on the server...

 

Yes Rik it was a crazy race indeed...very difficult to do a report here because soooo much was going on - the top three positions changed hands so many times it's impossible to recount here...

anyways race fans we are on a roll lately with another biiig turnout this week - 22 drivers took the green flag and if its true that where there's smoke there's fire the whole complex must have been ablaze because there was smoke and dust everywhere as you'll see in these screens :

Rik Hedlund (SR4L) was on the pole again this week, and he jumped out to an early lead, until lap 8 when he ran wide into the grass and spun....



He recovered before anyone passed him but ran smack into one of rF2's famous indestructible cones which slowed him - allowing NARU and Robert H to pass....



we had a rare appearance by Mr. F3, DurgeDriven this week, seen here mixing it up with series regular Tucker Fleming...



Boxer, Eddy G (haven't seen you in a while, welcome back!!), White Lightning, and Billy Blaze laying down a smoke screen...



looks like 1959nikos (SR4L) has installed a bleach kit on his Ferrari....you're supposed to wait 'til the race is over to do donuts, mate!!



the grounds crew will be putting in some serious overtime this week...here (l-r) Emery, Sergio, and Backfire chew up some sod...



as i said above the top spots changed hands many times....here is where NARU took the lead for the final time....



and here he takes the checkered flag!!!...



just too much going on this week, trying to watch the replay and figure out this report was mind-boggling...if we have this kind of turnout at Lime Rock will be insane....really wish i could include everyone in these reports but space (and brain power) is limited, so i do the best i can...

anyways there you have it race fans a real barn burner this week...if anyone is interested i have posted one of my onboard videos in the community videos thread as well...

P.S. -i just donated $100.00 to the server fund, that ought to keep us going for a couple more months!!
