I think it is about what aids you use (of the ones allowed at the particular server).
I use autoclutch and now I learned I use autoblip as well lol.

Sorry I didn't see this Nikos... Yes, it has to do with driver aids... I am not going to post that nonsense anymore....

    Hope that answers your question!

It always needs some editing when copy/paste, also if you use colors they end up wrong.
I usually end up modifiying my previous posts than copying from other sites.

    Howdy Race Fans!

Well, I for one, found last weekend's race to be quite a blast! I believe most that attended did as well.

Sorry to those who were not happy with driving the F2s. I had them on the server all week, with the server named changed to "F2_Fanatics?", and announced in this thread that we would be driving them for that race.

So, next weekend's race will be run with the F3s. 8)

Last weekend's race was held at Mountain Peak Speedway. I wasn't a fan of this track until this race. I stopped comparing it to "Daytona Int. Speedway RC" and just had fun!

Here's the results for the qualifying session:

Place Name Vehicle Laps Time Diff.

    1 J-P Simard EVE F2 18 01:21.7794 -
    2 mel1c EVE F2 16 01:21.9346 00:00.1552

    10 Mike McKinney EVE F2 6 01:26.0754 00:04.2960

It was no surprise to see J-P take pole position! And, although times were spread quite a bit apart during quallie, I think we'll find it quite different during the race itself.

Well... I just went to look at the results for the race... I only have the results as reported from my home computer's log folder. Don't really know what to tell you except, if you don't see your name as having been in the race... it's because you bailed.

    So without further ado....

    4 ▴ 3 1959nikos[SR4L] EVE F2 21 +1 lap 01:25.3484

Once again; no surprise about who won or who let the most laps... Congrats to J-P Simard!!!

It was a fun race, this track has an awesome flow to it and the F2s seemed right at home on Mountain Peak Speedway!

Next weekend's race will be held at IsI's Palm Beach! We'll be back in the F3s for this final round of my first series!

Next series' car choice will be decided upon in the very near future.

On another note... Donations for the month of June has been: $0.00

There is $21.15 in the F3 Fanatics' account. Rent is $50.00 My time, I donate. That includes maintenance on the server. Even though I rent from NRT servers, the agreement is, is that I can take care of my own server, saving me a few dollars a month.

As most of you know, I've been running this server since rFactor2 first started in January of 2012, starting on my home server, to trying 4 other server providers (in the beginning it was tough, nobody had servers for rent for rFactor2). I finally landed with NRT because of NRT_Dave. He took the time to talk to me and to help make my dream of providing a server that touches the world come true. That was 3 years ago this month.

So... One word HELP! You may feel free to donate via PayPal to f2fanatics@yahoo.com Or, if you want me to see that you've donated right away you can donate to birtwell@msn.com.

    Thanks for the read!

I'm looking forward to seeing you all at next weekend's race!

Remember, in Arizona we DON'T change our clocks twice a year.

Right now, my time here is the same as Pacific Daylight Savings Time... Three hours behind East Coast Time. Eight hours behind London.

Figure it out. It will help fight off dementia...

Practice starts at 4:00pm Arizona time.
Warm-up starts at 5:00pm Arizona time.
Race starts at 5:08pm Arizona time.

    We'll see you there!

Well, not only did Jerry take pole position, he took the whole race and ran away with it!

The real race, once again, was at the back of the pack.

J-P, Mike, Elbo, and myself had an absolute blast! All four of us didn't get more than 20 car distance between 6th and 9th place for lap after lap after lap after lap... It was awesome fun!

Dirty Harry didn't have a good day. He wanted a restart right off the bat. I was well behind at the start and saw the whole thing. I didn't restart the race.

There were a couple of other times when I saw him typing some more complaints about other drivers including me.

I'm sorry he had a bad day. This was/is a "Just 4 Fun" series after all and no one is/was to be taken too seriously.

I hope he comes back this weekend with a better understanding of what these race have been/are about.

And yes! There is a "next weekend" here!

With the help of Noel Hibbard and NRT_Dave, I now have the "Modified" F3s back on the server! Yay!

These cars are too much fun... and I mean it, they are way cool, way fun! They have 25% more torque and 25% more HP than the stock IsI F3s. Kind of half way between F3s and F2s. With the increased power they are actually easier to drive, having more power to help steer the rear end of the cars around corners.

If you have a modded skin you can use your skin with these cars. Just let "Get Mod" install the cars. Drive one of the "types" of cars you have a skin for (EVE/Spark) and then migrate that skin into the new folder the game just created for you. Now... I believe that on the EVE you don't have to do that, it will find the skin you've been using for IsI's Historic F2s and F3s. They do use the same skins.

    The track will be Lienz.

All of this is on the server. All of these components ARE working in with Get Mod.

Hope to see you all on the track this Saturday/Sunday. Practice starts at 4:00pm Arizona time with quallie starting at 4:30pm Arizona time and the race itself will start at 5:00pm Arizona time.

    See you all there!

    Bryan

Don't forget to donate! It costs 'real' money out my pocket to run this server. Not to mention my 'real' time.

We made the goal for this month! That means I get to pay the server's rent without listening to my wife about spending money on "your" hobby. : ) Thanks in advance.

If all the guys that run on this server coughed up $2.00 a month (coffee at Starbucks starts at $3:00 in my neighborhood) the server would/could run for ever.

Ok... Last weekend was the start of Monsoon Season, here in Southern Arizona.

All kinds of bad stuff happened. I lost power while in the middle of selecting "re-boot" from a dialogue box on the server's desktop.

When I got power back, almost immediately, I tried to log onto the server. It wouldn't let me in because a user still had a dialogue box open.

I sent an e-mail to Dave-NRT telling him of my predicament.

He replyed to me right away stating that there were 4 people on the server, and asking, did I want him to re-boot it anyways?

Well... Before he got my reply, the server was re-booted. Sorry.

    This weekend's race shouldn't have that problem. : )

I will re-boot the server just before 4:00pm Arizona time to insure no "grey outs" which continues to be a "'Saturday Only" issue. I think it's somebody, rather than something... If you follow my reasoning.

Well, hope to see you there! Remenber, it's Just 4 Fun!

    Hi guys
These races are Saturday afternoons US time, correct?

A few of my friends and I are looking for an organized fun league to run with. F3s are my favorite, so this sounds great!

    Check what Arizona time is

Actually Birtwell's races dont form a league, these are fun races where people gather and race as long as Bryan has the will and urge to host them in his server.

The league I belong to, SR4L, has recently given a space in our site to Bryan to advertise his server

    Thanks for the info, Nikos.
"FUN" was the key word when I said "fun league". :)

That's correct, the F3Fanatics! is not a league.

The server itself, is an extremely high quality, open server also hosting TeamSpeak.

This "Just 4 Fun!" series is just that. A series.

I will be running the modified F3 for the forseable future.

    So... come have some fun!

Practice starts at 4:00pm, Arizona time or, Midnight, London time.
The race starts sy 5:00pm, Arizona time or, 1:00am, London time.

    Clear as mud?

    Good, see ya there!

It's been going strong for 12 weeks. Tomorrow, I will be hosting race #13... or is it #14? Bullwinkle will let us know! : )

    Howdy Race Fans!

Well, just another fun filled race weekend on F3 Fanatics' server!

I'd like to thank Tim "Bullwinkle" for posting the screen shots from the race... I assigned a key for recording screen shots. I was using the F12 for my Trackir.

We seem to be picking up new drivers, welcome! I realize that these races are held at times not optimal to the majority of the drivers. Thank you.

The only real problems were that there was a high percentage of people DNFing. We usually only have one or two who give up. My recommendation would be to stick with it. These cars aren't so fast that a few second off the track results in a situation where you can never catch the leaders. Even if you can't catch the leaders just remember, this is a "Just 4 Fun" series. You can always find someone to race against. I do.

Next weekend, I'm hoping to see even more racers show up... The more the merrier, don't you know?

This weekend, coming up's race will be held at Sebring. The course will be the 12H course. It's a real challenge. A very rewarding challenge.

Stiffen up the front ARB, Shocks, and a click or two higher springs over stock and you'll have a good start. Shorten 5th a bit and bring up the lower three gears. Anyways, most of you guys don't like my setups... Grain of salt time... : )

    See you all there!

Remember to donate to keep this server alive. My financials are upside down right now. So, I really need you money to keep this, the longest lasting, non-league run, server on rFactor2. The F3_Fanatics, on it's current server has been up and running every day since late May, 2012. Yup, it's run non stop for over 3 years.

So, don't be bashfull. Please donate. via PayPal to birtwell@msn.com. And, don't forget; there is more infomation about this and many other series at www.simracers4life.com

    Thank you in advance.

Did a couple laps on the server at Sebring, I could see past my Birtwell Racing Tach that the track is indeed well rubbered. Hope to make a race someday, Saturdays are tough....

Hiya Tucker... It's tough finding a time when I can get everyone togerther too. Sorry that Saturdays, in particullar are bad for you.

Here are the results to yesterday's race!

    Howdy Race Fans,

I don't know where to begin...

First, thanks to Tim (Bullwinkle) for the screenies! I'll get it right one of these days. : )

This weekend's race wasn't what it should have been.

With this new build, and NRT-Dave changing the way my server runs, I thought I was going to be able to avoid the "Saturday Re-Boot".

Things looked good, I could leave and get back in the server... Then word came to me, via Nickos, that Mel (mel1c) couldn't get in. So, I left the race and came back in twice and thought the problem was on Mel's side.

The problem seemed to have gone away, as I saw Mel on the server after loading a new vMOD. If this is the same problem, I've been having on Saturdays, then I don't understand why I didn't have to actually re-boot the server, not just restart the dedicated.exe.

We'll never know. But, from now on, I'll have to re-boot the server on Saturdays. I'll do it from work, before it gets populated.

So... My deepest apologies to all of those who couldn't log onto the server. I guess I should have been wondering why there were only 12 drivers.

Anyways, on with the results of this weekend's race!

Well there ya have it... We should have had more of a crowd, and that's my fault. Shame.

My only excuse was that it took me 45 minutes to get my home machine to boot. Sooo.... I'm actually going to do most of what I have to do before i leave work, next Saturday afternoon (Arizona time... lol).

Next week's race is at Buenos Aires.

Hope to see you all there!

    Okay Kids,

I got nothing to report... Well I'll report but, the server has two files, well more than two, but the two I'm referring to is the files for the quallie and race.

Well, usually, I can pick them right out, and thought this time would be no different. I saw these two really big files; one ended with a Q for quallie and the other with an R, for... you guessed it, Race. WOW!

Well, when I opened the quallie file up, I saw that there were only 6 racers. Hmmm, I said to myself... Hmmm.

So, I opened the file for the Race. It looked familiar, oh... It's the same as quallie. You messed up. But, no. I didn't. They are the same.

So, here is my report for the entire race.. Quallie included.

The fast guys were fast and quallied in 1st place and the slower guys lined up behind the fast guy, as far as starting order went. I started last.

The fast guys started up front and most of them, I think continued to be, well, fast. Some are really fast.

Most of us know how to drive cleanly. One or two of us don't, passing no matter what the cost to others, and caused some kind of wreck, involving mel1c. I believe that was "backfire" that caused that mess. Shame, I watched the replay... shame.

    mel1c had no joy.

All others found one or three guys to race against and had themselves some fun. I teamed up with and behind 1959nikos. T'was fun for us, the back-markers. 1959nikos constantly, reminds me that he's faster than me.

Oh, back to the race, The fastest guy finished 1st and so it went until the slowest, guy that came in last, finished.... ummm.... last.

No trophies awarded this week... Nor, last week, or... ever. I'd like to hand one out for bad etiquette, but alas, the budget doesn't allow for such niceties.

I will be starting all future races; from the pits, so that I can, more easily, restart a race, or... take even more drastic measures, when when, even more, drastic measures seem warranted. Scary, what can happen, just scary. I don't even want to think about it, much less, address it here. Or there.

Racing is racing, and racing is fun. Even a lap down.

All you regular guys, that eat fruit and veggies, know how to start a race. Start going and don't actually try to drive through the guys in front of you.

It seems that when a newcomer to our little, loving, family, comes to visit. They seem to think that just because there is traffic in front of them, that there is no real need to slow down, appropriately like. Nope, drive as fast as I can, as if there was, no traffic, and damn the torpedoes. I bet you didn't know torpedoes, has a silent e in it... Oh I digress.

Anywho, sorry about not having any actual results. I could probably put something together, but this took less time and was way more fun, for me. So, you can look at your own computer's, save, results.

documents/rfactor2/userdata/log/results. You'll see a bunch of .xml files. Don't be scared... not yet anyways.

Go to www.simresults.net and, you'll see what to do. It's a way cool site, you can even re-read the text log.

The race weekend was July 25,2015/ July 26, 2015.

This weekend, Saturday, August 1/Sunday, August 2, brings us to Belgium to run, um Belgium.

The track is more than just rubbered in. It's pretty much black as coal. ::)

So, expect to see lap times, just over 00:04:00. Or, four minutes.

See you all there, starting at 4:00pm Arizona time, which right now, is 12 midnight, in London. I think it's 2 am, where 1959nikos lives, In Athens.

But, I live in Arizona, so it's my time zone that counts... I think.

See you all at Spa, I mean Belgium.

    Belgium

    Howdy Race Fans,

Yup, we raced at Belgium, last weekend.

This week, I got good files from the server. My home machine didn't have good files from the race two weeks ago...

Any how, here are the results of qualifying. Nothing to note here. No PBs that I know of.

Well those are the results. Plain and simple!

A big round of aplause, and maybe a shaken up can of beer for Sjakie!

A big congrats to the rest of the podium!

I hope you all had fun, or if you didn't race and want to see what the excitement is all about,

We'll see ya next weekend at Kyalami. Yup, a butt ugly rendition of this track. Looks like GPL to me, the track races just fine.

You'll probably want to turn off HDR in your graphics settings. Too bright.

Anyways, it will be fast and fun!

    Cya there!

    Bryan
