Im using a G29 and really struggling with sensitivity. I get it sorted for one car then others are way off. Do i have to constantly change for each car? If so do i change in logitech software or in game menu or garage?
The ideal spot for steering sensitivity is near the middle. Most cars should respond roughly the same, especially cars of the same type like the GTE or GT3 car packs. If you are referring to SPEED Sensitivity, that is a crutch to reduce your hand inputs on the wheel. Most used on ovals with long straights. You want that setting as near to zero as you can tolerate. Keep in mind, the more you tame the straight line response of your wheel with the SPEED Sensitivity setting, you are also dumbing the feeling/input in the corners. If you find you must change your sensitivity setting to be comfortable with different cars, simply save a new Wheel profile for each change. You could have G29_F1. G29_FWD, G29_Nascar etc. Then when you change to a different car, load a steering wheel profile suited to that car.
I just mean general steering sensitivity, its perfect when i drive the ferrari gte then way off when i change to the porsche gte for example.
The steering lock number caught my eye. With the Vehicle Set box checked, you normally get around 540° for the S397 DLC cars. If your other car has a much smaller steering wheel range, that might explain the large differences you are feeling.

Found this thread via your link Dave, post 2 seems to have sorted it for me, thanks guys. https://forum.studio-397.com/index....wheel-rotation-not-working.61750/#post-968519
Smoothing "7"? Is it too rough on lower for you? That smoothing level will dampen A LOT of the FFB detail and general feel. I dont recommend "0" on belt driven steering wheels but i run "1" myself.
Oh, yeah now when you mention it... Try it at 1 or 2. You will feel the tarmac and all the bumps and dips much better.
Logitech wheels aren't very pleasant with low smoothing. There's still more feeling, but there's a trade-off with noise.
Yeah, people told me to get rid of smoothing completely. Not good on T300RS, lol. I can hear knacks and scrapes and stuff sometimes that really isnt good for plastic and cogs. I run "1" myself and on my wheel its really good with no harsh bonks or knicks. Some mods can be harsh and if thats the case i raise it one step.
Good to hear. I can actually now think that a whole bunch of people who came and tested rF2 and then instantly gave up never touched the smoothing setting and let it be on 7. They didnt get at all what we were talking about and uninstalled it, lol. Its when that feeling through the wheel hits ya that all other sims feel dull afterwards (well AMS1 will always have great FFB but it shares its roots with rF2 so thats not weird hehe).
