    while i'm stuck with a rf2 freeze in the internal plugin, when i try to set the weather, i think about the new tools (weather server, etc...)

    I know that today, when you have several rF2 installation, you copy the exe and xml file in each rF installation. What do you think if i upgrade the WeatherConfig.xml to add as many <Game dataPath> as you need, so the exe (and the future server exe) will be in a single location as well as the WeatherConfig.xml file ?

    Something like this:
    <Game id="Server1" dataPath="C:\Users\Amphiprion\Documents\rFactor2-Srv1"/>
    <Game id="Server2" dataPath="C:\Users\Amphiprion\Documents\rFactor2-Srv2"/>

    And at launch of the WeatherTool you will have a dialog allowing you to choose on which server you want to work (as well as a new argument for the command line) - This dialog will also allow you to launch the Weather Serveur HMI (will be used to parametrize the realtime weather server)

    What do you think ? it's ok for you, or it is not a good idea and you will prefer another thing ?

    I guess it depends how flexible it is. How is it if a league has for example a server running GTs on Mid-Ohio and a second one running F2s on Silverstone ? Will it be possible to run both servers with the according real-time weather ?

    Yes i want to create a centralized server who can desrve weather to any number of server, instead of launching several server instance.

    If running more than one server, for future realtime weather we will need a dedicated rf2 weather tool for each one. Am I wrong?

    no, i would like to have only one place to unzip the executables. You will have a single WeatherConfig.xml but with several <Game dataPath="xxxxx"> tags. At launch of the rFactor Weather tool, you will be asked on which service you want to work, while the Weather Service will work for all server at a time.

    Do track files contain the whereabouts of circuits on the planet? I heard that is where they worked out where the sun rose and fell. It would be great to have the tool already know where the circuit was without having to add it ourselves each time we have a new addon track as there will be loads in a year I am sure.

    Yes, for exemple in the GDB file of SPA, there is:
    Latitude = 50.44 // degs from Equator (range: -90 to 90, positive is Northern Hemisphere)
    Longitude = 5.97 // degs from GMT (-180 to 180, positive is East)
    Altitude = 350.0 // meters above sea level
    // NorthDirection no longer supported, should be +z direction (+y in modelling tool)

    Is that accessible by a plugin at runtime?
