You'd be deleting them if you don't want things duplicated, yes.

See first post, it runs 64bit unless you tell it not to.

    The plugins are installed in the rFactor 2 64bit plugin folder, path below;

    H:\rFactor 2 v798\Bin64\Plugins

Has the API changed since v770? They worked then.

What about the second issue on the skins? Are you aware of this? The skins worked fine in v770, they do not in v789 or v798.

I had no luck with sim experience yet but i got dashmeter pro to work by creating a folder called plugins in the main rf2 install directory. then put the dashmeter plugins dll and preferences ini into that folder and the bin 64 folder.

You can't change your nickname via any method we support like that. You can ask us to do it, if you wish.

But then something went wrong. Ingame there is shown my Player Nick and NOT my Player Name, wich was shown allways till B660. I thought it`s because of the Player Nick, but it`s not.

To make it clear: when i start rF2, i`m shown with my Player Nick instead of my Player Name

//Edit: something on my end or a bug?

I had success, although my test was very brief. Here is what they are telling me and my response at SimXperience:

I think there is some confusion here that's caused by ISI releasing the 64-bit prematurely.

The latest update (798) has an all new folder structure. The previous build they wanted you to modify the exe names in order to launch, etc. and we were to place all the plugins in the same plugins folder. Now there are individual 32 and 64-bit plugin folder under the bin directories.

As a result, we're about to release an update that will automatically install both the 32 and 64-bit plugins into the proper binxx\Plugin folders (assuming you have the update and haven't deleted them).

There are a couple of interesting points here:

-As soon as this update is released only versions 798 and later will be supported!!!!! GET THE RF2 UPDATES PLEASE!
-If you are installed in c:\Program Files\rFactor2 or C:\Program Files (x86)\rFactor 2, then we will automatically correct your sim commander game record with the new paths.

If you are NOT installed in the default location, please follow these steps:

-Go to the Sim Commander Control Center
    -Click the Settings Tab
    -Expand the games section
-Correct the rFactor 2 path to the launcher. It is now in the subfolder called launcher
-Make sure that the "Wait On" text box contains "rFactor2.exe"

This has been tested on all three of my test systems with good results

I did as you suggested, I modified the path within Sim Commander: H:\rFactor 2 v798\Launcher\Launch rFactor.exe

rF2 started fine, once on track the plugin started to load then there was a "Not Responding" for several seconds after which rF2 started working again. After I quit Sim Commander reverted to the previous path of the previous v660 rF2 build however.

I don't understand why rF2 would freeze with the 64bit plugins installed if I started the rF2 Launcher manually.

By the way, ISI is asking me if you are using the latest API
    ."

If you have rF2 installed in a HD other than C:, change the path in the rF2 Settings, then Games

What situation is this? In a server, or offline?

    Server x64 (Client & Server)

With each Build my Driver Name was shown, now the Driver Nick. Wich is very bad, because we MUST use in our racing league our Driver Names...

Sounds like the plugin and whatever that software is, uses hard coded paths of some sort and the paths are obviously different. So we have a reason and a statement that a new version is incoming. Great support from Berney. :)

    ... I don't understand that response... lol

As you're mentioning server, I assume you're talking about multiplayer. In which case, I assume the server is setup to show nicknames, not real names. It will not have always been shown, it'll have been shown when the server was setup as such.

In the Update tab, rF2 states my v798 is up to date. When I click on verify ALL of the strings "fail verification"?

    i.e.
    Core\HUD\standard hud.mft failed verification.
    Core\HUD\mini.mas failed verification.
    Core\HUD\arcadestyle.mas failed verification.
    Core\HUD\Multidial.mas failed verification.
    Core\HUD\GTDial.mas failed verification.
    Bin64\rFactor2.exe failed verification.
    Bin64\rFactor2 Dedicated.exe failed verification.
    Bin64\mss64.dll failed verification.
    Bin64\Plugins\TrackIR_rF2_Plugin_x64.dll failed verification.
    Bin64\Plugins\Miles\mss64srs.flt failed verification.
    ....
