I`m going to give this a +1 also as I always read the new build release notes but rarely have I really understood what they`re saying to me... I`d really appreciate some more in depth explanations on this stuff as I`m very interested and would like to learn.
Another +1. Is the Driver position, names & laptime HUD displaying weird for anyone else? Mine seems to be missing spacing and the time is squished up against my name.
Anyone else experienced the spotter working suddenly (Laptimes at least) with default (not changed) settings? Did a "lite" update.
it's my own issue? or is overbright from cockpit view back again? I noticed It at first run, just noticed some bright or white "effect" and looking from outside or looking back all this effect dissapeared, appeared again going to cockpit. I did not tested much more, but all seems to work fine for now PS: I autoupdated from last update, and deleted CBash content. Edit: I don't know why but... what a fps BOOST! I did a clean install in previous build, and just autoupdated to 382, no graphical settings changed and went from 80-90 with mins of 70 to 110-150 in Monza pits (non offical track), and a max of 128fps in some points and mins of 95. I will try other tracks just now becuase Monza it is not the best optimizated, but this is awesome, I usually play on medium settings with a GTX650, but now I'm sure I can turn on some effects I had off to save fps.
THIS is what I want to understand if it is true that there is more grip. Why? Contact patch changes? Can't be chassis flex? Something else? Real road changes? Etc.? Don't leave me in the dark, please.
I'll try & put up a screengrab later, but seems to me as though the car-shadows are a lot better, just tried a few tracks including Loch Drummond on max shadows & they're not disappearing for me anymore.. I deleted all my old stuff, so CBash files were all renewed by this build (carried over all of my Packages, plus a Controller/G27/modified file, & my Player/Settings folder for the one-off skins I've downloaded..
Updated fine and tested on Nords. Tested with vsync on and off, low and max with 16 AI's and ran on 8x and 16x anisotropic. Ran the Nissan GT-R GT1, Chevrolet Corvette C6.R GT2, Howston HG6 and ales Bayro 2013. I can see a big jump in fps and steering movement from the chassis, understeer and oversteer feel great. I cant wait to try out the Honda
Could very well be (the contact patch changes), or the stuff for lower speeds. This might be easily verified if the continuous slides at low speed still occur. It takes a long while for the tires to grip again even when you apply full clutch in order to regain control over steering.
shadows on MAX will behave better in replays, as with Rik's image above. they will still disappear in high settings, not tried lower
It has always been like this !! With shadows on max, shadows behave better, but with the others setting, even on high they disappear!
