i don't remember if it was made by botniaring isi or studio 397 but i will try studio 397 ssr reflection track
I tested the studio 397 on the Monza track and the drops on the windshield were visible correctly. whether this mod uses different shades than in other cars. for example, in studio 397 cars, the drops are displayed correctly on all tracks
You are right, i have tested it with the Botniaring now and the S397 GT3 Cup Porsche has white Drops. We'll investigate....
Thanks for reporting. It seems as if i have found the Problem already and an Update can be released soon..
Could you mark on the Screenshot what exactly you mean? And yes, the Appearance of Reflections and Shinyness depends on different Things and is also depending on personal Preferences, how it gets jugded by different People. What i see, when i use the Car, is nothing unusual.
Well, I do. The silver mist on the bodywork is too much. It happens on some S397 cars too and in many mods. I don't know what is the setting (depth of the clearcoat?), but I find it unnaturally reflective. But I know that no everyone feels the same.
From your first Post about it in this Thread, for me, it sounded as if it is a Problem with this Mod only. But when you now say that it is the same with S397 Cars and other Vehicle Mods too, it more seems to be your personal Opinion about how it should look. As said, there are many Things that affect the Look of the Cars Paintwork. Started with the used Texture, over the Material Settings, the Daytime/Sun Angle on Track, Track related Settings and not to forget the ongoing Work at the Games Code. And i think it is just like it is in most of such Cases: you can not please everybody always.
"But when you now say that it is the same with S397 Cars and other Vehicle Mods too" Yes, it also happens with official cars (some more than others), but not at the exact same level, in this case, I believe it comes out a bit more. It might also be related to the gfx settings. I am on VR, so I have to make some compromises. Perhaps at less than max, some effects come out differently.
I can not judge VR, because i get "seasick" from it immediately. Maybe you open a Thread, where you can talk about VR Settings with other VR Users?
first post has been updated with build 1.01, that fixes black rain drops in certain tracks from cockpit view
I've now driven a few laps and I have to say the Porsche is really fun. Very nicely implemented, thanks to everyone involved in this project.
Just wanted to say a big thankyou for the work done to create this mod. Me and my mates used it last night with 20 AI and had a blast. The default setup is great so we could run "fixed setup" which meant a night of great door to door racing. The AI drove really well too and were a good challenge to race against. Well done to all involved! PS, I agree with the "too shiny" comments. On some angles, the paint reflection looks a bit "chromy". This was at Adelaide and Sydney Motorsport Park so non S397 tracks but it's not something I've seen on other mods. The cars look fantastic overall though.
first post has been updated to Build 1.04 April 22nd, 2022: - added Battery Town New Zealand Championship
Hi sorry if I have missed it somewhere but could you provide the explanation for the gen string please? Thanks
I know how painful is to deal with the ever changing shaders, but here is another example taken from RaceDepartment of the shininess (wheels look luminescent):
