Oran Park conversion

Here is my first conversion from rF1. This contains the GP, North and South Circuits. I hope I got things working correctly.

Big thanks to Spaskis for his tutorial and to all the guys who helped me out.

Thanks for the conversion mate I got my father who used to race at this track a fair bit to have a go and he said it's fairly good except the dip going into the last corner is not realistic and needs to be a lot steeper.

Thanks for doing this. There's some nasty bumps in the final left hander to the front straight but maybe that's the way it is in real life... Looks good.

 

havnt tried it yet but there was a laser scanned verion for rF1...hopefully this is it

 

Agreed the last turn maybe a little bumpy and not as steep going down but the going up seems ok.

I would have preceded to convert the laser Oran but the gmts were locked. I asked Piddy for unlocked files but never heard from him. So this Oran will have to do until someone makes a better version

no its not i have talked to those guys they will be doing it sometime in the near future once rf2 is at gold and when they have time off work as they are very busy with work commiments. but it will get done...and by the way they are not allowed to release the lidar details to any1.

 

I like the layout of this track. I think it has potential to be a popular track with some polishing. I personally don't care one bit about laser scanning as long as track is fun to race on.

this track and alot of other aussie tracks were made freely open by the original person who put them in rFactor 1 a long time ago...he is no longer around and his forum is also gone

 

No, I was speaking metaphorically regarding overall refinement of the graphics. However, in testing it again I realized I had HDR off so looks much better with HDR on obviously so I think it is very nice as is! Great work!

 

You mean MMM, they never had permission for tracks.

Ahh..... sorry Dutch did Oran but he never did any other aussie tracks afaik.
