New version released and we wanted to share, please go to, http://f1-sim-racer.co.uk/index.php/forum/44-rfactor-2-tracks-wip/2411-new-snetterton-300-v071#2411 Also check the "read me" for installation details.
Nice job but I would prefer more bumpy, I am not saying it is flat as a table but a bit more movements on the track would add more reality.
because nearly everything was updated or changed so it was just as easy to repack it, plus I haven't figured out how to properly use the update thing yet.
not sure how much more reflections I could put in, nearly everything is reflected and it uses the same textures as the isi tracks so should have no more or less than those.
The track isn't very bumpy in real life and 80% of it was a brand new surface so it's fairly flat, if I were to carry on with the track it is something I would look at but putting bumps on a track just for the sake of it can be as unrealistic as having none (a few subtle bumps for effect would be ok I guess)
indeed i noticed that the reflections in wet conditions are GOOD, but for some reason they seem to load properly on the track after some time... not immediately! :-/
I've not found how to alter that in any of the isi documentation yet, everything set up as the tutorial said so no idea what is going on, maybe someone who knows the answer can help out
lets hope they will fix that in the upcoming update! Im sure Im not the only one to have that kind of issue
Thanks for the update. Please don't add bumps that aren't there in real life! There will be plenty of rough tracks soon enough.
Also, laser, will you do the shorter layout, too? This track is a classic all the way back to GPL days. And now that we have the GPL cars, and given your contribution of/to so many excellent tracks over the past years, I think it appropriate that you go down in history as releasing the first rF2 quality track
I had installed the first version, And just installed .71 And now I have company in my pit without private practice ticked. I uninstalled the first version and removed the Snetterton.rfcmp as per the read me. Any ideas on what could be the problem? And is there perhaps a hat file hiding somewhere that should be deleted? Just guessing at this point. Love the track by the way.... Thanks ( By company I mean another car as well as mine, it's too crowded.)
