Hey guys, I spoke to Lasercutter today and have made a small update to the circuit as we have a upcoming league race and found the same clutter in the pitbox issue. I've removed the clutter so now cars can use all the pitboxes (the 27 limit still remains) and remade the loading screen. There are no other changes at this point however I may look further into updating textures/road detail in the future. Download can be found at: http://bit.ly/1eyVGSP
Polishing the last few issues with this track and doing a 1.0 would be fantastic. It's a great track.
Sorry RJames, I forgot to say thanks so... thanks. Is this an update that will "update" the original or is it a separate entity?
I spent less than a week putting this track together when rF2 was first released, I think I've spent more hours working on a single building since then. I have no desire to do any work on tracks for rF2 so Rob is welcome to do whatever he likes with the track.
This is a separate installation. I only realized last night when testing on it we had a issue so it was at most a quick fix so that our guys could get practicing on it asap. Thanks Dave, Once my feet touch the ground again i'll take a look at in depth what can/can't be done by me.
That's unfortunate. Are you working on tracks for anything else, or just doing other things altogether?
I do still work on tracks but none of them would ever be released to the public, my spare time is limited now so even if I felt like doing rF2 tracks I probably wouldn't get time to do much with them
I did a part build of Swaffham for Madcowie a while ago, that's the only oval I remember doing for rF1.. did quite a few codemasters conversions when I started out, then a fantasy track and Thruxton, also did a figure of 8 destruction derby type track for a laugh about a year ago but that's about all.
Thruxton for rF1 (and related titles) remains one of my favourite and most-used sim tracks of all time! Hope that someday we get a quality Thruxton for rF2.
In the meantime, let's get Snetterton "finished." It deserves the final polish (alternate layout opened-up; a few minor tweaks here and there).
