"wow, 150 fps gain! I can race on all maxed!"

come on guys, it's only a driver, all it can do is give or lose 2-3 fps....
I have R9 280X and the performance is still lower than my old 560ti...

My 7950 reaches with the new driver 72 degrees, before never above 65. This means also something as really changed, in my case for better, much better

Lols at the differences in performance reports. For the geniuses claiming it was because people were on "old"drivers - it says I was on the last driver. AMD confirms performance improvements.

I also mentioned I now run everything on full, from medium, with the same fps.

That might be a valid benchmark, if you did NOT use level 3 AA. Which is roughly the equivalent to 6xAA (NV supports 6x, AMD does not). Make it a level 2 or 4, and it would be valid. As it sits, since AMD doesn't support 6xaa, it automatically chooses 8xAA. I get near identical with level 3 (inside rF2) or 8xAA (override in CCC).

I am curious as to why no one is thinking of the survey thread, where a lot of AMD users signed the survey, and just maybe AMD optimized for rF2? It's not Mantle, but I think it's the driver. Also, for those who aren't seeing the fps gain. Did you install over the previous drivers, or uninstall old ones then install these? This is the first driver that specifically states to uninstall old drivers.

Tripples on a 7970, no extra FPS.
BUT mirrors don't have such a big impact on the frame rates any more. Only a few frames which at the end is quite a big improvement here and the FPS are much more steady than they were. No such a up and down. Good stuff indeed.

Installed this driver yesterday. Previously used Cat 13.11 drivers. There is a small FPS gain using replays i measured FPS from previously, at best 7%. Visual quality is pretty much identical, in game settings, AA and AF etc all kept the same. My specs i7 860, 4gb ram, R9 280x 3gb.

    All maxed out using replay

    AA Level 3
Frames, Time (ms), Min, Max, Avg
    23549, 200137, 98, 153, 117.664

    AA Level 4
Frames, Time (ms), Min, Max, Avg
    23679, 200151, 98, 152, 118.306

    AA Level 8
Frames, Time (ms), Min, Max, Avg
    21124, 200215, 87, 127, 105.507

I can't notice visual diference from 3xAA to 8xAA... With my old ATI i really saw the diference with Nvidia I don't...

That's what he is trying to say.
That test is flawed because AMD doesn't work correctly with level 3.

Some improvement noticeable with the 290 here as well. Details i can't tell but the overall smoothness seem to improve while i can't notice any signifant fps increase for the first, it still gives me hope and perhaps also the possibility to use it better.

With compromises here and there I am in agreement and perhaps ISI can slightly improve in the direction of shadows, particle, track objects/details, reflectionens, AA and AF more. From this point every little improvement is a plus. I do not expect it tomorrow and I also believe that you manage to do it. In the meantime I will continue to try to improve my Settings. Thnx !

Nvidia here and im interested in AMD's Mantle technologie. So far im not convinced, neither am i about Nvidia's Gsync. I'll wait another year and see what the market will do. AMD Mantle with Nvidia Gsync...just to benefit the PC gamers.

The suggestion seems to be that the latest non-MANTLE AMD driver has multithreading, which would give increased performance comparable to nVidia (who had it for three years).

No real improvement here on a 6850 - maybe 1 FPS at best. I know Mantle doesn't cover the 6000 series.

Mantle doesn't do anything for rF2 or any title until implemented. At the moment, it's their general driver that works with DX people are getting pickups with, and that's very interesting...
