noticed this while testing at croft, which has lots of movable tire stacks with mass placed around the track.

a driver exits the server and returns, all movable objects previously knocked become reset (tire stacks, cones, etc), for the driver rejoining, and new entries, objects are fresh.
existing drivers can't see those reset objects, but when passing where they are now reset for the new drivers those objects are seen to the new driver as being hit, and can cause the new driver to collide with them, even though the existing driver doesn't see anything as it was knocked down earlier during his session.

maybe this is more of a bug to look into.
objects that are knocked down during a session should remain as such by new joining drivers somehow, like the real road is for all currently.
    or...
track makers might not want to place moveable objects with mass around the track as it is causing unforeseen invisible collisions.
not sure how this should play out, movable objects with mass, though very cool, might not be such a good idea.

Well, if two drivers on the same server see the same object in two different places, then it's definitely a bug in the game engine / network code, not a track issue.

I agree, K. I've run similars issue with Botniaring in-house testing sessions. Sometimes all objects (including car models and skins) do not get updated to the driver, which has joined server in middle of the session.

    Cheers!

That's working as designed though. The model and skin is only loaded once you hit esc.
The older of us will remember how loading a model and skin for a newly joined driver would cause the sim to freeze momentarily in earlier sims... :)
