Le Mans Ultimate

It's amazing what get's written on the internet. My favorite comment so far was a guy claiming that they aren't using 3D curbs and that the sim will have a hard time competing with a heavily modded AC wich tells alot about the engine used - must be an iRacing user who just discovered 3D curbs for the first time after spending thousends of Euro for the last ten years or who just hotlaps around in his favorite screenshot generator.

It's still wierd that people think that the whole game will be shipped with content copy and pasted from rF2, with no other cars besides the shown Hypercars or just with Le Mans while it's basicly THE upcomming product where you pretty much know what you'll get when you've been using rFactor 2 or followed and actually read the news on the LMU site or simply know what WEC is. From my perspective the development of this has been very transparent and easy to follow, so I have no idea where people come up with all of this.

Same as rf2. The game is just a business strategy.

Of course it's similar to rF2, it's the same engine.

If you can't be bothered keeping up with discussion on what's new with LMU, just wait for its release. Making uninformed calls this far out makes you look like a douche.

PS shadows are demonstrably improved, so if you think it looks the same as rF2 you're not paying attention.

Not just the shadows. Did anyone actually notice the improved sky rendering? That was the most obvious thing from that last video.

Will be a hard simulator or just a more arcade game for wec enjoyers? I mean, will be the f1 game equivalent of wec?

I think It will try to surf between both worlds, as controllers like joypads will be surely supported (one of the trailers report that the driving was done with a joypad) and I guess that's where the userbase is.

Its running on the rf2 engine so I imagine they will just add some type of controller profile while leaving the rest intact.

Ive lately had some friends over who wanted to try my rig and i turned up assists for them.
Its litterally a completely different game when those are on and seems like it would be fairly easy to drive with a controller.

No reason to be worried imo.

rF2 already has controller mode. It remains to be seen how many assists will be locked on.

Just reading the Development notes from AMS2.. looks like they will get to market first.

Yes, first to market with a DLC of content S397 modders have already reproduced.
24hour race on AMS2 ?
What about ever expanding WEC grid how many cars does it support ?
