BEWARE: do not attempt to use a formation lap in a race start (there are some old issues with the AIW paths)

Here is the mod of the Howston G4, inspired by LM '67

BEWARE: Early build. Generally serviceable, but many known bugs or issues. No need to report issues yet. This is just an early preview release to coincide with the 50th anniversary of Le Mans 1967. The track is not finished. It is still missing details.

Performance: Not completely optimised, but mostly should be ok.
>> ~20% FPS drops in the Esses, Mulsanne Kink, Indianapolis area, because of too many tree shadows (see below).

Vegetation: don't worry if trees or bushes are above the ground, or intersecting other objects. They're from early in the project and will be replaced.
>> The tree textures/meshes will be replaced (also using fewer trees for performance).
>>The bush meshes will be redone.

AIW: An early AIW file that has been manipulated and wrangled around a few times. It will be remade from scratch eventually.
>> Low grip cars (eg Cobra, G4/G6) may be slow or cause accidents in Turn 1, the Esses, and Maison Blanche areas.
>> Occasional odd behaviour in turn 1, and after Tertre Rouge corner.
>> Possible to get a cut track penalty on a wide line in turn 1, especially at race start.
>> May be pit lane collisions if many AI attempt to pit at the same time

ReflectedEnv: Currently no work done for wet road reflection of objects

Various objects haven't yet been updated, or are not yet complete.

"Sorry, my French is probably wrong" - woochoo

After the '67 24h layout is ready there might be work on a '67 Bugatti layout, and a '70 24h layout, but neither of these are confirmed. If time is too tight for those additional layouts I might make a '67 layout with the Ford Chicane instead.

And some videos of Le Mans 1967:

A bit of community fun (hopefully) with a revelatory puzzle.
The project won't necessarily be ready by the time the puzzle is fully revealed, and there is no set schedule for the incremental revelations, but it will probably take a few weeks or more. Nice and slow.

Perhaps people will see unintended connections. Perhaps some people will see unrelated connections. Perhaps I want people to see unrelated connections. Perhaps people won't see deliberate connections. Perhaps some things are indirectly related. Perhaps you should ignore this puzzle until it's complete. Or perhaps we can all have a good laugh at the wildest theories people can come up with.

No prizes for anyone or anything, just fun and amusement.
Maybe a special mention/congratulations for "The Most Convoluted/Abstract Theory", and "The Most Convoluted/Abstract Theory That Turns Out To Be Correct"

Someone picked up Watkins Glen!!! Will it be licensed or will it have a name like the others, like Seneca International?

...a track pack with all the Virtua_LM tracks updated (rF2 standard, same materials, etc)?
...maybe a track pack for endurance races?

Well, i did hope to generate a little interest and conversation, but i don't want to stress anyone's sunday, so I can safely say there will be a lot more info posted at least a few weeks before the release of <insert name and/or description>. And it's unlikely to be less than a few weeks before that happens as well. This project has been underway for several months already.

I'd also like to say that VLM aren't responsible for this tease, so it's not their fault, and the blame is on me :)

You did get my interest Woochoo. And stress on sunday....no way ...you can't get me into stress mode. Have a nice sunday and thanks for the teaser. let the big guess quiz begin

I'll start: i think it's gonna be modern lemans
I feel I should address this one, out of respect to ECAR and the people who may or may not be working on a modern LM.
I'm not working on or involved with a modern LM. I'm very much looking forward to the ECAR modern full LM circuit though
