Latest Roadmap Update - May 2019

Can you spot the difference between CAD and scan data?

You would prefer (or would find identical in quality) that Sebring, Le Mans, Nürburgring are designed with a CAD method, and not laser scanned.

Good for you.

And I spoke absolutely not only of track physics, but of overall quality, taking the example of Sebring which is of incredible global quality.

I am happy that these indispensable tracks are scanned laser, I do not ask you to share my point of view.

PS :
And yes I know that the Nords has been resurfaced, but the driving will be an incredible precision on, thanks to ultra precise laser data).

I told myself that I was not going to create a thread just for this post, so I'm posting here :

Do you think a surprise DLC can be released for Le Mans or Nürburgring ?

I was thinking of a new ..... endurance pack or GT3 pack....... MIAM !

I just wish to have a couple of new GTE cars to have more variety, as it is now is in every league the grid is: half is BMW, half is Porsche, 1 or 2 Corvette. The Aston and the Ford GT would be awesome (Ferrari is out of the question for known reasons).
But wait, only the Aston would be enough if URD updates the Detroit GT

I hardly believe that happens. I asked URD weeks ago for an update for the Ford Gte. Nothing ... no reaction. Since were do not even get anything from them, even though URD itself started with this topic (Update). Very sad .

Just be careful not to misrepresent the track based on that screenshot - unfortunately they've included the fence banner showing the Bugatti circuit, which won't be included in the rF2 (official) track.

I'm confused, I see two track layout maps of the full circuit but nothing jumps out and says Bugatti to me.(doesn't mean it isn't plain as day) But even if the Bugatti circuit is NOT included, having something referencing the shorter track would be appropriate if a banner or something was visible on the main circuit.

I meant unfortunately they included it in the screenshot. Someone already asked whether the Bugatti layout was included, and Marcel answered (No), but that's quickly buried in a thread. Having it mentioned in a screenshot doesn't help matters. Of course if the real track has banners referencing the Bugatti circuit it's good they're shown in the game, but I would have avoided them for screenshots.

It is interesting to see Toyota Gazoo Racing on the pitwall. Will we finaly get an hybrid LMP 1 car, eventhough it was never an option, same as steam was never an option? :p

Why include the 24hr circuit but not the Bugatti circuit?
24hr circuit is nice but imo Bugatti circuit is a pretty interesting track for a number of car classes.

Time, money, and extra license fees would be my guess. I suspect also they want the track to be done for the real 24 hour race.Adding Bugatti would likely make that timetable near impossible.

If I do laserscan, I d sell it it not only to gamers. And Bugatti is not much of interest in real world imo. Actually there is a systematic approach what is scanned - and what can't be scanned

Again one pic rF2 and iRacing.

For me rF2 looks a bit more detailed here. But we have to wait what is going on on the entire track. There are plenty of objects beside the track in iRacing. Perhaps the the situation can change there.
