    Equal measures of excitement and disappointment in this Roadmap.

    Excited for the new content. Very good to get the Porsche RSR, only hope it sounds like the real thing! Not really very sure about the timing - I'd assume the Endurance Pack will come before Le Mans, if the manufacturers approve? Also not sure if the pack includes just the cars, or also the Sebring track. Sebring looks like it is coming along nicely but performance is going to be a big issue with that number of trackside objects. The Endurance Pack is a must-buy as is Sebring so looking forward to that very soon. One word of warning; if Sebring is to be sold individually, do NOT set the price too high (and by that I mean, iRacing prices). Will Portland be laser scanned?

    Disappointed for the one line about the UI, that they have 'just started' integration to the competition stuff. Once again, it seems like completion of that is very, very far away.

    Thanks for the new info . Looking forward to Sebring and McLaren , Brabham and March !

    i just loaded up rF2 in 2D 4k completely maxed except PP to Medium and with 19 Ai and me with Mclaren GT3 around Old Monza . Alone on track i was getting -118 FPS ,then race start from rear of grid- 83 FPS , this was sunny at 12pm . So then i load overcast and rain (the last rain option) and on race start it was -23 FPS !

    Is this normal performance from a fairly high end PC ?
    With no real news of major optimisation , is this just what we should be happy with ?

    Sebring looks phenomenal good
    so good that make Dont wana look at iracing sebring again

    S397 are aware of the performance drop in the rain, if I remember correctly Marcel said(can't remember whether that was here or on discord) that they are working on that along with the size of the visible rain drops in replays, which are currently too big. So things should improve on that front.

    Phenomenal news with the RSR. I'm so glad to see the progress of rF2. Among all the sims we have (and I drive w/o iRacing) it's still my favourite one. Endurance pack and Sebring will be fantastic! :)

    Thx for the Roadmap.

    Can you guys please ellaborate about the current state and progress of the UI? Also is the performance (specifically in the rain) being worked on at the moment and if so - can we expect a new build with further performance improvements anytime soon? As a VR user I can inform you that sadly it is not possible to use your greatly improved weather system in the rain and I think that is a real shame.

    Finally - are you working on AI improvements in the rain? There is an ancient bug where the AI pits for tires after 1 lap which is a gamebreaker in the rain. It quite frankly seems like a waste of work and man hours to make the impressive overhaul of the weather system if ppl cannot race in it because of lack of performance and AI bugs.

    Thx very much for your continuous effort to make this sim better - I can imagine its not an easy task.

    Will we ever have a full car in VR? I've not seen this addressed in any roadmap.

    Do you mean that if we stand up and go around back there is only half a car ?
    If so how does this affect driving in VR ? I know its like that but from my seated position i would have never known .

    I’m guessing late autum release
    Sep/Oct time , just in time for some serious winter sim racing

    sit in an open wheel car, look back...no wheels, wing or get in a car then stand up an move outside the car...a bunch of car elements are missing.

    The replay - overlay vid as in the roadmap would be a great feature to have built into rfactor2

    No one else has it

    Some of this depends on the objects that the modder has placed to be loaded in the cockpit view. Often, some objects that are not seen in the cockpit view are not placed because they would unnecessarily leave the car heavier.
    Already other parts like rear wheels, by default the rFactor 2 does not load in the view of the cockpit for the same reason above. I do not know if there is any setting in player.json that changes this.

    It would mean that there's more of the car to display, ie making the awful performances even worse. Since it's not a cockpit simulator and it's bad for FPS, it won't probably happen.
