    Hi guys!

I have bought the game today and I must say I am loving it! But there are few things which interests me:

    1. I have tried few cars and with that also Gokarts. Why does the engine shut down when I have just a little spin or crash? Is this a problem related to the auto clutch not working?

    2. What happened to windscreen wipers and raindrops on the windscreen? AFAIK this feature is working in the demo?

    3. Since I am playing with the gamepad it seems that saving custom settings is not working at all?

Thanks for the reply and wish you best as always ;)

    1) turn Auto-Clutch ON
    2) You're mistaken about the Demo, there are no raindrops on windscreens at all.....yet.....(some cars do have working wipers though IIRC, but they obviously do nothing!)
    3) can't help on with that one sorry

    :)

Thanks for the reply. Autoclutch is turned ON and still doesn't work.

    Hi and welcome!
    1. Don´t know exactly, maybe someone else knows more....
    2. raindrops and whipers not implemented yet. Is an ever returning subject here in forum. ISI announced an overhaul of weather-system, so hopefully comes soon.
    3. Mhh, never had problems with that - settings saving normal here (ok, not checked with actual build but you are the first who mentioned that)

Tipp for gamepad: play around with sensitivities and if it´s a Logitech, use profiler for further sensitivity-adjustment.

    Edit: Doh! others where faster!;)

I believe engine shouldn't shut down with the autoclutch turned ON o_O Or does it simulate crashes which are affecting the driver moving his foot from the clutch? :O

The engine of Karts shut down usually, if you set a very low engine-brake-mapping value. It shouldn't happen with default setup though.

I have driven all the cars on stock setup. I am amazed that this can happen but I thought this can't happen with the autoclutch turned on...

Sorry to ask a silly question, but how do you know the engine is off?

I look at the RPM bar and it shows engine is turned off. I also press the throttle and nothing happens. I have to manually turn on the engine (pressing starter and ignition).

    In player.json

    "Start Engine":false,
"Start Engine#":"Whether to automatically start engine",

When you join room your engine is off.

Set a ignition and starter button.

With ignition off you will notice some of the Hud menus are "Not available"
Turn ignition on they are activated.

Car LEDs power on with ignition as well.

Using ignition to join others from pits enter your car 5 seconds sooner then normal. ;)

The kart is not supposed to stall ever with or without autoclutch
The only way to shut the engine of the kart is by pressing the ignition button
    So your problem is wierd
Can tou tell us if your dash is shut off when the engine is off ? (like DD said earlier)

When your engine is off, tou said that you have to press one time on the ignition and one time on the starter ?
(I ask because when you stall (without the auto-clutch) you dont need to use ignition. Only the starter)

Your memory is not deceiving you - rain on the windscreen was shown very early on in a short promo-vid of a GT car in the pitlane at Mills - but it wasn't ever in a demo

If I spin in the corner or if I gently hit the wall or anything else engine shuts down. I have to manually restart it by pressing a button for the starter.

Do you have to press the ignition or not?

    That is really odd...

that mean that your car is acting like the Auto-clutch was indeed not working..
Can you provide a video of when it happens ? maybe we could find something that is going on.

During that video if you can cycling the HUD (Enter by default) so we can see all the menu (or maybe just screenshots of all menu) when the car is "stalled"

You having indeed a weird problem, lets try to find it what is going on :)

    Sure! Here you go: https://www.dropbox.com/s/mw1rhaecbkr18gw/rFactor2_2016_02_19_18_38_56_695.avi?dl=0

As you can see I had to press the starter at the end of the video.

Another thing which is weird to me is that FFB multiplier always resets itself back to 1.00 in the option menu. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong? Do I always have to set it for each track and each car? Tnx for the help! ;)

I think it relates to player.json line which tells you whether or not you have to start your engine.

First I thought your car wasn't just accelerating properly because those things accelerate pretty poorly :p

Ffb multi is different for each car and for each skin inside car type. It should stay the same between different tracks.

Which means I can't do anything about it?

Every single time i leave the game FFB multiplier returns to 1.0 (in the menu) but if I save setup for the car on the specific track it doesn't reset. As soon as i choose a new track (the one I haven't played before) multiplier goes back to 1.0 (for all cars).
