Join button still grey(video inside)!

Sorry, but I opened this thread here, because I think it is a very important issues for me!
I still have this issues, but the strange thing that this issues are not present always!
Some times I have all the servers with the grey button and some times I can join only few servers!

Some times I can't even join the ISI servers and ISR servers and some times I can't even any server due to this grey join button!

 

Yes, it happens some times, less than before though.
I remember Tim saying they have not solved the problem entirely yet.

You click like a mad man lobby has a delay, use refresh on the top left side of you screen and you can join if server works, lobby is like that to everybody. I can join 99% of servers in lobby because some of servers are simply dead .

I had this issue earlier because my installation was not up to date Worth checking...

 

I don't know what are u taking about?! you can see clearly that I wait 2sec every time and I realky have this problem!

 

Servers hosting RFT TOTAL will always be greyed out unless you have previously installed that mod; I guess Get Mod feature doesn't work with a 2.7GB mod

For the rest of servers, my advice is: patience; 2 seconds is not enough, maybe 10 or 15, even more sometimes

Thanks to all for tips, but it not solve our problem yet. We have installation up to date as you can see on video and picture (build 660) and i trying to wait for more than 2 mins during joining, but it still not working.

 

That is what works for me too.
Sometimes when i first join the Lobby, the Join/Mod-Button is grey for all servers but after refreshing the list, everything is normal again and the Join/Mod-button is active.

 

- I have updated the last Build.
-I tried to do refresh a lot of time.

- I waited 10-20 sec.
but I still have this Greg button! Maybe some of you don't have this issues, but I do

 

I often race with Ari and we have always tried and managed to circumvent this issue.

Clicking the server you want then click another then back to the one you want and wait will usually work.

But I tend to stick to the same host and click within that range of servers.

Yes bug has been around for ages surely you used to it by now.

What is the drama anyway ?

Click back n forth give it 30 seconds, won't kill you.


Of course there are servers you can't click on , that is natural.

 

If this was happening to me I'd:
Uninstall, Make a back up of your userdata by cutting and pasting it to your desktop then delete all remaining folders except packages then reinstall.
Don't put your backed up userdata into the clean install but you can copy the settings folder with your setups & skins into the new userdata after you've started for the first time.

Pain in the ass to have to reinstall all the mods but usually fixes most problems I've had.
If you haven't done this in the past few builds you might even notice improvements to FFB and the whole feel of the sim.

Sorry, I can deal with very much problems but this is a thing that HAVE TO work!!!!

 

They are working on it, obviously they havent solved it yet.

 

I found the same problem.
If you find these problem try to exit the game.
Exit launch panel.
then restart It will solve may be 80% problem.

Uninstalling or quitting isn't necessary afaik.

It is a bug in the current build. It will be fixed soon no doubt.

A beginners guide, oh wait ... what about that wiki?

Would be a great resource for beginners guides / pros to share tips.

(Also a good place to have a few known minor issues for new starters)

Yes, it may work sometimes after the 5th refresh, but it should just, you know, work, as soon as the servers first show up...

We had a league race on Sunday. This problem almost ruined it. We had 23 sign ups. First only 10 got in and eventually 20. So some didn't get to race even though they really much wanted to.

Had to restart pc and router and all other s##t to get in. Joining the server should be basic thing imo.
