looking forward to giving the new Renault 3.5 a try, it's the sort of car I would really like but never really spent anytime with the original one released

really interested in what these "core changes are that hopefully will be included in next build, if it's anything that's liable to be noticed that is ( & not unseen internal stuff etc )

 

I am happy to see this updated, the F-R 3.5 always bugged me . That layer of "power steering light feel" to it and a couple of other contemporary open wheelers.

 

Oh i'm not worried about the feel or anything, I expect it to be pretty great. its just a silly coincidence and I don't think its smart to jump ship right away, things need testing to make sure its suitable.

But bring it on and helmet-glow-issue better be fixed lol

 

I would really hope just for one tiny upgrade to it, which would be just reverting to the old sounds it had. Slightly tweak the old sounds it had, remove the audio loop clipping it had and chuck it back in there, seeing as it is meant to be a V6. Leave the V8 sounds for the V8 version.
Would leave 2 pretty distinct version of a similar car IMO.

Yup, ISI updated the old gen F3.5 sounds to the new gen F3.5, even though the car is based on the old gen model. They probably did this because of all the annoying complaints from people about the sounds.

Now that they are modelling the current gen F3.5, it would be cool if the previous gen one reverted back to the proper sounds. Like you said though, the old one's proper sounds should get an update.

This way we can have the old one with it's matching old-gen sounds and the new one with the new-gen sounds, rather than having both completely different cars' sounds modelled from the new-gen FR3.5

 

Sure it is fine with DW12 and new Renault but when do we get Panoz Esperante GTR-1 and Panoz Esperante GTLM GT2
I think game needs few more GT cars from ISI also.

Many of the cars already in rf2 sound awesome in RL, I have heard most of them at touching distance as an LMS / Motorsports photographer.

Indeed the corvettes and panoz were some beautiful sounding machines. Somewhat louder than anything else.

It is the only reason I talk about sound, it is a big deal to me :-( just wish it was better in game. Evocative part of the experience that is lacking to me :-(

I can only presume the people who think it sounds amazing already haven't raced these cars or had those experiences. That's a shame indeed.
