Nope much prefer builds to be properly tested before released otherwise we end up with broken builds that ruin gameplay, take Spray from the last build and the fact you could turn it off for online races and effectively "cheat" because others have it turned on. really hope ISI noticed and learnt from that.

Not to belabor the point because it is really not that important to me but interim builds would not ruin anything for anyone because they would be optional. Also your spray example is the best possible example to prove my point because it is possible that had they released the interim build (and decided to listen to what we said because it was 'without warranty' so they wouldn't have had to listen to feedback) they would have heard feedback from us and hopefully decided NOT to release the broken spray. Make sense?

yes makes sense but you will split the community with different builds being available and that causes unneeded problems. if you want interim builds then join the test program, simple as that.

    Bad idea.
Many people would still just update because they would want to see what new build brings. Imagine the chaos - people running different versions, or blaming developers for problems they have with their "optional" build. I can pretty much bet that if this was the case, even more people would come up with the opposite proposal to yours - not to release until it's stable.

The grass always looks more green on the other side of the fence ;)

    Amen.

ISI should not concern themselves with peoples lack of patience. If build isn't stable, it's not meant for release and it doesn't matter if people just want something new every day.

Yeah I agree with you, especially since there is a test program. And just to be clear my point was never about impatience.

Personally don't even want weekly updates because re-installing and configuring everything takes some time and effort. One update every month or two is more than enough for me. But that's just me. :)

I don't want updates for the sake of updates, I want progress to fix what's already out there. This tire issue with the "endurance" cars has turned them into touring cars because they are only good for a 30 minute race. That and the shader issues that modders have run into have created a backlog of mods that are collecting dust.

It's a bit comic (or comical, I don't know) see people criticizing others by lack of patient after 5 years from first announcement.

    Just saying.

May have been a while since the last core update but there has been several track and car updates. Weekly ones would be chaos as has been said, and sure as eggs is eggs ISI would get stick every time they realised an untested broken build.
