ISI, i`m not emused about your comportment

End of 2011 we heard about beta rF2. The pictures and the movies we have seen were great.

We loved the news about rF2. Half a year of beta........best price for early byers (users of the beta)..........and so on...

The first weeks were really excellent but than the system didnt run anymore. The innovations were less than....the problems were bigger than the progress....Now, one year later, the fun is gone because rumors about a couple of problems viewing that isi will come forth again.

Now I wanted to take your word and demand my money back.

From the beginning, you told us that we get our money back if we are not satisfied.

Will you offer refunds during or after the open beta?
If you believe you became a part of the rFactor 2 community too early we can arrange one.

But....i push the button and i received a mail:

When I bought the beta, there was this "refund policy" not yet!

So, do the refund. NOW!

Acting like that won't get many sympathy here I think, and besides, it is not as if we can change anything about it. Only thing I can suggest is email them, explaining the situation, and why you think you are entitled a refund.

If you relied on your insurance policies never changing or being informed you would be history.

If you read most fine print it will say bla bla we can change what we like when we like .....bla bla

I agree with you though it would be better to have kept strict refund policy.



What ISI says dont matter here.........

In Australia if I complained to the ACCC I would get a refund no matter what the date.

Any company, overseas or otherwise plays games or stuffs the with the ACCC must be really stupid.


You will get reamed, trust me.



Example:

Fanatec supplier would not give me a new wheel first before return or pay for ALL shipping.
They refused point blank to send me a new wheel and fanatec told me it was not there problem.

hehehe


2 hours after making a ACCC complaint I had a apology and they exchanged my PLASTIC pedals for Clubsports for no cost and let me keep the plastic ones to boot. !

 

I don`t need sympathie any more in this community buddy....

I don't understand why anyone would create threads like this (if you're not desperate for some sympathy wich you were not, ooor?)... Just email ISI about it, that's what I would have done. But I will not, because I love rF2. I could buy it again just to support it and donate some money

We bought a game that was planed for a 6 month Beta, and where "we" are now?
The most developers wouldn't even call it alpha! And there is nearly no noticable progress from my POV.
And you would seriously consider to waste more money for a game that seems to be dead before gold release?

I wonder why there are not much more people out there to complain about the refunds!

Not really much to discuss that hasn't been covered already, dude wants a refund and feels hard done by. Some agree some don't...that about cover it?

 

I think ISI has been more than fair with the two month refund policy. Steam refunds aren't within two months. Most other software developers don't offer refunds at all. It will be hard to get some sympathy here I think.

This is the wrong place for this administrative things! if by chance this week 50 people will ask refund and every one of them feels free to open his own thread,we would have this forum full of these refund threads !

But steam sells (so called) final games
The refund didn't have a time shedule when i (and thomas too) bought in the first time.
Don't get me wrong, im not asking for a refund, but it would be gentlemanly from ISI to refund the people which lost the hope to get a final game.
At least the ones which signed in at the very first days...

Yes I remember that as well. There was an announcement on this forum when that policy changed.

I can see how someone could be a bit ticked off about this but his post seems to me like he's looking for sympathy which he probably won't get. He's had access to rF2 since January, February? His photo looks as if the $80 he gave to ISI won't cause him to go hungry. Chalk it up as lesson learned.
