Released Indycar IR18 doesn't upshift

I'm trying the new release candidate, the car doesn't upshift, not manually, not automatically. It just stays in 1st.

Did you try the IndyCar in Test folder in car selection menu? This one worked fine for me.

 

Think I'm gonna set my browser to post this every day until the May update.

 

I have the same issue, only inconsistently on the test IR18. Sometimes toggling autoshifting allows it to go past first gear on the test car but sometimes nothing works

 

yep youre right, i only tried it very briefly and youre right, i just jumped the gun too fast lmao

 

Same here. Can't upshift. With both standard and test version of the IR-18. Seems to be a bug who comes with the RC.

 

Yes I’ve tried both the normal ir-18 and the test version and it still doesn’t shift, and yes I am moving.
It only occurs with the Indycar, every other car is completely fine

 

Do you have something like auto-shift enabled? Do you have a clutch pedal or have the auto-clutch engaged? If you are using the Release Candidate like I am, I haven't had any shifting issues with all three car types.

 

For me no. I play with a controller ( spare me the jokes please) and this "bug" appears only with the RC build. With the public build the IR work fine.

 

are you using ONLY the two Indycars located inside the TEST folder?????????????

 

These two IR18 cars are the ONLY cars you should see if you have selected the correct TEST cars

the other two testing cars in the TEST folder are the rFPro & Oreca 07

yes Mika, I have. But I cannot find another reason you or others can't shift the car. So I have tried to eliminate every possible reason why my car shifts and yours will not, even if it appears to be repetitive. You are using a controller, do you have any aids enabled to help you drive? (like auto-shift?)
@bastoner97 & @madr1x are also having issues but neither has mentioned their gear or even if their are using the Release Candidate . So I'm trying to help by removing even the tiniest reasons for this failing. If they also use a controller or driving aids, that may point us in the proper direction to help. Way past my bed time. I hope we get this sorted for you.

 

I have no auto shift enabled. Just the auto shift. Like the OP said earlier sometimes the gear goes on. But shortly after the issue is back again.
I will back to the public release for now. Maybe a small bug in the system.

I can't. The forum says that the files is not allowed.
But strange fact : Yesterday, i have drive the F1 Pro test without issues. And today , same issue than the IR-18.

Can i upload the files somewhere else ?

 

I think you can just rename them to player.txt & controller.txt and then you should be able to attach them.
