Guide: Optimal FFB settings for rFactor 2 - The key to being in the "Zone" :D

The "rF2PedalOverlayPlugin_x64.dll" goes in "Steam>steamapps>common>rFactor2>Bin64>Plugins". Sounds like you have that done.
Then Start rF2 and exit rF2.
You should now have a "rF2PedalOverlayPlugin.ini" in your UserData folder.
Open it with Notepad.
This is my ini:
[General]
OverlayEnabled=True
OffsetX=1300
OffsetY=900
BarWidth=30
BarHeight=60
DetailedLog=False
FilteredInputs=False

OffsetX is pixels in from left edge of monitor, I have triples 5760x1080 and 1300 puts it on my centre monitor.
So I will assume you would need to have a negative value for it to be on the left monitor.
OffsetY is pixels down from top of monitor.
Those values of mine has the display to the right and about level with my real wheel.

I think that has earned me a rum. :D

I was wondering where the app would be and if I could move it? This makes more sense now. Thanks.

Rums for racers is what I always say!!:)

My cockpit is a three seater designed for public use so I'm always inviting friends over to do some drinking and driving...... safely. And yes. I can say without a doubt that alcohol does have a negative effect! And it sure is a lot of fun proving again and again and again.:p

That did it!!:)

You do deserve a rum!!:p

Everything was working but it wasn't set within my monitor viewing area so I couldn't see it.

So I'm guessing one set of numbers controls how big the app is while the other controls where on your screen or screens the app will appear. Not visually on the screen is a possibility!

And in my case default settings has the app off screens somewhere.

Thanks again!!:) I've been looking for this for a couple of days now.

Hi guys, I post in this thread, cause I tried the suggest in the first post.
I use T300 GTE, with this setting:
Overall Strength: 75%
Constant:100%
Periodic:100%
Spring:0%
Damper:0%
Auto-Center:by the game

This is the graphic from WheelCheek, honestly I don't understand well all that you wrote in the thread.
Senza nome.png

Someone that use T300 can write here his setting in game for rFactor2.

Where in wheel check I must wrote the min force for obtain a graphic without initial dead zone?

Thanks in advance.

What's the current status on what Flaux said about spring and damping settings (T500)? And if the people that use a T500 could post their settings that would be nice too.

@Ayo Aina thank you for making me aware via pm of the issue with the images not showing in the OP. I've tried to edit the OP with updated working image links but there now seems to be a 10,000 character limit per post on the forum so I am unable to save the edit. I've just sent ISI an email, hopefully this can be resolved.

In the meantime, I've uploaded a file with all 10 images in chronological and numbered order with the OP.

Yes, like @philrob said, I believe anything that displays won't work yet, at the moment, w/ DX11.

Yeah i'd write the settings down, also my go to car is the USF2000 for FFB so if my feel for that turns out i wasn't clipping then the rest i should be good for doing on feel alone, cheers.
