Hi Guys, recently (yesterday!) got a T300 GTE, I'm messing with the WheelCheck program and basically getting confused by the whole process of how to get the FFB setup correctly and I may be jumping ahead of myself somewhat so:

First thing's first, what should my Thrustmaster "Gain Settings tab" be like?
    thanks

    Edit: 40% Master Gain =

MarcG, it would help to first see the same graph you've made there but for multiple different master gain settings (e.g. 50%, 60%,…,100%) plotted as well for your t300 gte.

ok, cool. Just to check, you performed these tests with no spring centering enabled in the thrust master profiler?

If you still have the data and it's not too much trouble, could you collate them like this please?

Keep going and going like you always do.

    Your insolence is borderline unbearable.

    Constant 100%
    Periodic 100%
Spring 0% (when I did those tests Yes)
    Damper 0%
Auto Center "By The Game" (0%)

Not quite sure what the top two should be (different from what I recall with my G25) but so far with Master Gain at 40% it certainly feels right. I'll try and collate the graphs but bear with me never done that before :p

Sorry DrR1pper I am useless when it comes to spreadsheets and have no idea how to merge them, apologies for my n00bness!

I have no idea what the numbers mean but yes if that's what it means then 11% is the start I guess(!), again I'm not sure if any of the other settings have effect so any help is greatly appreciated.

I know what the word means. As for the rest of your post, well, I stopped reading your flurry of paragraphs 2 or 3 posts back ("skimmed over" them is an overstatement).

What's next? Are you going to post another flurry of paragraphs this time trying to prove I don't know what "insolence" means?

You are a chronic arguer and get in hyper-defensive mode while you seem to feel threatened if someone doesn't share your viewpoint. It's like you need to engage in verbal warfare until you win as if it's some game or battle. You wan't to endlessly debate trivial matters in order to prove to yourself and everyone that you won. You are in search for a "winner" and a "loser" in order to feel superior and/or display your superiority to others. I don't think you realize it but your mind may be "injured" by a false self.

Thanks MarcG. If possible, could you produce a 70% and 90% result as well please?

Scratch that, don't think it's necessary anymore.

Here's the graph for your wheel:

It looks like 60% might be the best overall compromise. But test that against how it feels to you in game vs other gain settings.

DrR1pper I can't thank you enough, my lack of knowledge has been aided by your great help. I shall have a play with 60% later on and report back, I know how to use TechAdes plug-in and how to do the Minimum Torque test so I'll fiddle with that as well :)

Damnnn, 60% does seem best but you loose the last 10% of outright force and that last 10%, from my experience, can clearly be felt (and the TM TX/T300RS already isn't the most powerful wheel around).

I'll do tests from 60% - 100% in 5% incriments with my new T300RS. I'd like to get as linear as possible while reaching over 95% total strength.

Give me about 4-6 hrs and I'll have the graph posted :)

Just thinking out loud and this may of been covered, but does the USB Port play any role at all? (2.0 over 3.0 I mean)

It shouldn't but that is not to say that it can't. Stranger things have happened. What does it appear to be doing to your t300 (if anything) switching between them?
