    Good morning all,

This is most annoying whilst using this website!
I have noticed when I try to click back to older pages it doesnt work properly. You have to click back about 4 or 5 times just to go back once. Im trying to put up with it but its starting to do my head in.
Ive recently found out that this site has added lots of adverts inbetween the pages. Why?? Navigating through ISI forums is a pain in the back side. Can you not remove these adverts? No other websites do this to me.

    Thanks

sounds like a virus or something, download SpyBot update it and run that, it'll remove bad cookies and stuff from your system. Also run a virus scan too just to be safe.

I can confirm: no adverts here excluding top banner.
    Probably Pluginz' computer is infected.

Thanks for the replies guys. :)

Just cleaned all cookies and temp internet files, even gone in manually and got rid of them. Im running the spybot now, taking quite a while eh :)

Yes, Ive noticed if I hovver the mouse over the back button once ive been through a few pages, I get the address which is a facebook link. Ive no facebook apps installed and not sure what the link is. This is the address.

    https://s-static.ak.facebook.com/connect/xd_arbiter.php?version=11 or just google it

    Seems like a Javascript error.

Once this Spybot thing has finished, I will do a reboot and get back to you, let you know if its gone.

Thanks again for your support. :)

If spybot doesn't help try combofix it's a lot more aggressive and should take care of it, just be sure to disable your antivirus before you run it. Then check the log once it's done as sometimes it can remove legit programs it deems unsafe. Malwarebytes is also pretty good and doesn't need the user to be as experienced as combofix.

Thanks bud, will try that as well once this thing has finished!! ;)

I have Malwarebytes installed  not used it for a while hehe. This operating system is a good 3 years old, may need a fresh install.

    How did it go?

I'd be inclined to format if my machine were doing that... :(

Ah thanks Tim. Na ive still got the same 'facebook-static' link in between pages, not all pages of the forum, but it always does it!! Completly cleaned up, ran various programs that all say I have no infections, spybot removed some things, malwarebytes did nothing, ran full kaspersky scan too, pages still there!!!

Clean install? Hmmm, might be worth looking into :)

Just uninstalled IE9. Now using IE8 and problem still persists, hmmm

Just checked ISI forums on my other 2 machines and have exactly the same problem. Its like the 'facebook static' link is embedded in the website. Surely there must be more folk who are experiencing the same as me.

    Oh well
