Fanaleds plugin for you Fanatec steering wheel

Did you run it with admins rights and followed the readme?

When you run Fanaleds, do you see the "fanaleds" text on your display? If you don't see this message something is wrong on your end.
When I run under Race/07/evo I see nothing but works perfect with rf2.
It did crash my rf2 when exiting a track. Also my Race Evo crashed a few times even though I didn't see Fanaleds run my LEDS.

I love It.

My system:
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 965 @ 3.4GHz
Motherboard: MSI 790FX-GD70
Memory: 8GB DDR3
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit
Video: MSI N570GTX Twin Frozr III Power Edition/OC,
Tridef, LG 55LW659S
Audio: ASUS Xonar Essence STX, 5.1 Dolby Digital Live, SPDIF
Wheel: Fanatec CSR Elite + Clubsport Pedals

Ive noticed the stuttering on the graphics. Like freezing, going on, freezing, going on. Happend ~2 sec and everything was ok again.
Using rfactor2 build 90, offline, All tracks & cars, Clio v0.1, Monte Carlo, 10 AI, in race.

I dont see one core on 100%.
Could you show me a screenshot of your taskmanager is the process tab and performance tab?
Hi,

today i´ve tried a USB 2.0 Port instead my USB 3 PCI-E card. Needed to reinstall the drivers and restart the system (Without the full procedure rF2 was running/stuttering more than horrible)
Now i´m still having very small stuttering, about 2 or 3 times per lap which doesn´t happen when fanaleds.exe is not running. But not a big problem!
I´ve just played rF2 for about an hour and the Wheel did not "crash" anymore. So i´m very happy for now!
I also have the feeling that the FFB on USB 2.0 feels different. Just imagination? I´ve complained about bad and numb overdampened feeling of the new drivers+firmware in the 911wheel blog. But now it seems to be much better on USB 2. Hm, don´t know!
The funny thing is, i bought the USB 3 card 2 years ago because sometimes the wheel lost it´s connection on the normal USB Ports. And all was ok since that time with several games. And now it seems like the USB 3 card can not handle the higher updaterates of the new firmware, the game, fanaleds, all in common or whatever :p

Thx again, Bose321

Maybe one more question. How do you trigger the Breake Padel Rumble on the CSP?
I ask this because i can have:

-locking tyres without rumble
-rumble without locking tyres
-rumble with locking tyres

I´m not having a problem with that, just want to know if there is still something wrong here........
The CSPs are connected to another USB 2 Port not to the Wheel directly!

Good to hear it's better now on the USB 2.0 port.

We are working on the weird FFB. Fanaleds currently refreshes the screen at 200Hz which might be too high for the wheel its CPU to handle. Did you already try firmware 745?

The current detection to rumble the brake pedal is far from good right now. This is on our list of things to improve, so hopefully for 0.4 or 0.3b or something this will be fixed.

I've tried it in rF2 and though the plugin graphic shows when the game starts, the LED's don't work.

Did you apply the settings you need in order to make Race work? You have to edit you .ply .plr (don't know from the top of my head) file and put shared memory on '1'.

Could you tell me what the black screen has to say?

And to everyone: we will need beta testers soon to make sure the next release is alot more stable for everyone. Please contact me if you think you can help us out.

The black box says the usual, and detects the program starting...I'll try a reboot as I just put the comp into sleep mode last night and see if that wakes it up.

Hi Bose. I did check the user PLR file in Race07 and it was already checked with a 1.
I ran it from the desktop, ran it from the game folder and it made no diff.
I found that under rf2 (win7/64) it didn't matter whether it was double clicked to start it or if it was right clicked and started with Admin rights, it worked both ways. It didn't matter where the files where either, it just worked.

One thing I did find that might not of been explained fully was, To get it going on a CSR-E, you have to press the small button next to the LCD display to get it going. So you will not see any Fanaleds excelence if you can see any of the wheels setup modes on the LCD screen.

I will put my hand up as a tester if you like.

Does the black console say it detects the game? If so, and rFactor 2 does work, but Race doesn't I'll have to look into it.

It shouldn't matter where you run Fanaleds.

About instructions for the CSR-E, I'm not sure if that's right. You shouldn't need to be doing that I believe, but thanks for pointing it out.

I'll contact you soon about testing. :)

Okay rebooted and the situation is the same, not working in any game,
Dos box contains
Current Mode:
Current system:
Waiting for game to start
Plugin is operational, press any key to exit...

Log file
Succesfully created shared memory object
Succesfully created shared memory map
Succesfully created event

This was an rF1 Mod that it worked in when I first tried it...but now nothing.

Doesn't it say anything behind the mode and system? If it doesn't it may be your fanaleds.xml file that's missing or something.

When you start Fanaleds you don't see anything on your screen right? If that's the case something else is wrong I think.

No everything is as I typed it and the xml file is still in the folder I unzipped the files to. It is strange I have changed nothing from it working to it not...

Okay I had created a shortcut to the fanleds exe on my desktop, I deleted that and used the one in the folder and everything works, including rF2 and the Enduro mod in rF1...don't know why that should be, but there you are. :)

One thing I found is i had a to download a few times because i kept getting an incomplete download (.3 more than .3a). I found this when i went to unrar using 7zip, it told me a few times the exe. was broken & I also noticed the file size was not the same as reported on the download page. This could be a problem my end or at the other end ;). Anyone else had this happen? Or is it just me.
