You're the ONLY one and you hav'nt stopped banging on about it since this thread started, glad you agree "so be it" *finally*
No, I'm not the only one who believes it's a waste of limited resources to have two versions of the same track. I'll continue to post my view in this and every other thread (Toban, Symmons Plains, and any others that arise) that is relevant. Since you feel so strongly about it, you should start a thread encouraging duplication of effort and fewer tracks and see what the response is.
I don't believe it is a waste of resources. Most of the beginners need something to start with and a converted track is 100 times better than a white piece of paper. Not everybody has the talent to build tracks from scratch. To start with a conversion to learn things and build up experience is a good idea. What I don't like are rushed quick and dirty conversions and then start converting the next track and so on.
I understand both viewpoints about duplicate tracks and about conversions as opposed to scratch. However, I'm slowly gathering resources in order to maybe tackle this "craft" and I can guarantee that the first that I try will be a "conversion".
I agree a converted track is the best place to start. My only point above is that there are about 175 of them that ISI isn't going to do their own version of, so why not use one of those? Or at least confirm ISI won't be doing it first.
hehehe I see some things that could be changed but mario will do it much more justice and would be a much better candidate
My personal preference is to just say thank you and move along instead of telling people they're using their free time the wrong way when they're giving me free stuff. Thank you for all the hard work on this track guys.
