DRM Revival, still not possible on rF2?

As i remember there is also a recent mod with late 70s drm cars for rf1 and ams as a free mod
Maybe you could consider that project

It's called grand touring group 5

We have given permission only for the old rf1 MOD. The new vehicles from Assetto Corsa, like the Porsche K3, Escort MK2, Flachbau, Lancia, Carma and 1 million changes are not included there.

@Slow Motion and i did also have an Interest, to convert the DRM to rF2 and so we contacted Dennis (@dmatzies) some Time ago, to talk about it.
In the End we couldn't come together, because the rF2 Mod should have been a paid Mod (for very understandable Reasons), but Marco and i have the Principle, to work at free Content only, because it's our Hobby.
So you can see, that there can be all possible Reasons, why it wasn't converted already.
And to speculate about it, is senseless. ;)
So let's hope the best, that it comes to rF2 in the near Future. :)

Just FYI.

I received a version of the Ford Capri from Cyril and was allowed to test it.

I am very amazed and pleased what a good job was done on the physics. I was able to compare both cars from assetto and rf2 and came up with almost the same lap times in Bridgehampton. If further progress continues like this and the other cars are/were implemented in the same quality, I am sure it will be a very good MOD.

Maybe a few more graphic details, the sound with the new update...
I just finished a long part of data, and BOP, really difficult and long to do, each car keeps its driving and technical specifications but the performance between cars is rather similar.
In long straight, a very small advantage for the BMW M1, Porsche and Ferrari, a very small handicap for the BMW 320 and Escort. Capri, Celica and Bêta are in the middle.
AI BOP is also finished, for dry and wet conditions, talent...
Just a few more adjustments.... ;)

Cyril, are you going to upload the mod through the rFactor 2 Steam Workshop so we get all the updates automatically?
Can't wait to try it. I'm pretty excited about it :)
 
I started simracing because of the BMW 320 (and her sound). :D The BMW M1 still sounds like a screaming monster. :D
We will need a Diepholz + Mainz-Finthen + Kassel-Calden conversion and we can make a full DRM season. :D There are Diepholz and Mainz-Finthen tracks for rF1. ;)
