Hi Guys,
Am i the only person who has paid £56 and cannot login with my wireless PC, i am absolutely disgusted that ISI are tasking a fair chunk of money off people and the flaming system does not even work properly! I know this is only a beta release but if you are going to charge people for it you at least make sure it works first! £56 is a lot of money to some people and i would not mind if i could play the game, but it seems my and alot of others money is sat in ISI's bank account, I have sent emails to ISI, also the forum, and all without reply. What are they going to do about this ridiculous situation?

Umm...

Wasnt there a temporary fix to just enable your Network Card and than try it through wireless??

 

Ask for refund and have fun with other sim with your wireless conection... must be great for online ping...

gubba... so your offline works and your online multiplayer does not?

make sure your firewalls etc. allow rf2 to function.

*we all knew rf2beta was beta when we bought it...

 

Just to note GUBBA, you didn't buy the beta. You pre-bought rFactor 2 and have access to the beta and all the problems it has (which there are plenty of). And if you don't like that, refund's always an option.

 

Did you try to turn off the firewall?

 

To answer your question, GUBBA:

No, you are not.

 

Gubba to solve this you have to enable your Local Area connection device in the connection manager of windows 7( assuming that you have it)

This:







If it says disabled, choose enable.

You might check in your Laptop/Desktop motherboard bios if the setting to save energy when not using Lan adapter is enabled.
If it the energy saving is enabled the adapter will not show in the adapter window.

It took me 3 days to figure this out...

Hi Guys i thankyou for the ideas, but i have tried all adapter settings, tried to run as admin, tried different location / directorys, and even different operating systems all with no luck, vista and windows 7

Are you sure this isn't your hardware or software firewall or some proprietary software like peerblock?

There has been a change made with regards to detecting wireless devices, I know because it first stopped my laptop from working. It's hard to know that is whats causing your problem, but if you still have it loaded perhaps you can test it for me.

 

I'm disgusted too... disgusted with all the self involved bitching, "this doesn't work for me and my unique setup and I want personal attention and why are there bugs in a beta? and I want my money back because I've been scammed."

we've been begging for this for well over a year and when they finally give us the opportunity to get our hands on it and start pushing it ourselves, you people bitch at them. of course there are bugs, there will always be bugs, all software has bugs and it always will, that's the whole progression of software, finding the bugs and making it better.

I for one am grateful for all the hard work they've done and the great simulator they've created and the personal attention we get here in the forums and when ever I've emailed them.

I know you're frustrated and you want to drive it, but take some time and make some posts and I'm sure you'll get it sorted out.

I'm also disgusted with the treatment this guy has gotten from some of you guys. Instead of being helpful you went ahead and talked down to him like he is some sort of low life. What is wrong with you guys?

 

Starting with the word "disgusted" doesn't help. Plus wireless connections for multiplayer probably won't gain you many friends on track.
