be a Bug in the 125 build, ISI know about this problem, I think will fix in the next build. I personally reboot the server twice a day to prevent the crash. Babs
Hey Bab's: Does re-booting the server seem to limit the crashes?..or stop them all together for you? Dave
I have installed:[h=1]Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x86)[/h]On Bryan's and my server to see if this makes any difference. We were having some problems the last 2-3 months with rF1 plugin's that were being built. After installing this run time package, they started to work the way they should. I will keep every-one advised if this helped or no change. It can be d/l at: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5555 Dave
I manually stop all servers and restart doing so the server I can not find them ever down, I do this to restart at noon and in the evening before we start to run in server Babs
I could never confirm this bug (ie I could not get it to happen) but I have added some code to prevent it getting into this state. It is much much less likely to occur in any build 128 or higher.
Howdy, My server used to need to be re-started at least once per day with build 118. Now the only time my server (or Dave-NRT's) crashes, is when Lime Rock Park is loaded. So, for now, no Lime Rock. Hope this helps, Bryan
you have tried to install a mod on your server that does not have ISI? Maybe the problem is caused by an incompatibility of other tracks that are not ISI. If you want you can try a Mod external, I have given our mod of megane, but you can also try other mods created by colleagues administrators of other sites. Megane Modded 1.08 Babs
I wonder on the frequency of crashes with vmods BUILT with 125 vrs mods from earlyer builds? I say this because my server side has been stable ,note its simply my desktop, but I have not had the crashes like ive been reading about for the entire time of this reelese UNTIL now !! I have 1 vmod built with this build and i tried hosting it today, it seems to run fine other then its crashing randomly like 4 or 5 times in 3 hrs or so .. Also note I have been on the up date not the full installer, It was running good and reading about all the crashes i desided im not crashing so why change anything .. well im going for a fresh install now .. lol .. but i do wonder about this build and vmods built with it .. can some one tell me its not going to matter in that area of the sim to have the server probs relate to the vmods ?? Are vmods built with this build subject to being corupt in some way ? thx ;-)
It's starting to sound and act (at least in my case) that i's Lime Rock Park causing the crashes. They are very random though. I started the dedi up yesterday afternoon with our league Megane mod at Lime Rock and it crashed twice within 20 minutes. Restarted it and it's been running for the past 12+ hours now (with people coming and going).
Not sure on that ,after fresh install mines crashing on ISI and non ISI tracks, the vmod Im testing does have Lime rock park in the track list tho but it was not selected , I experenced the same type of randomness ,it crashed in the first 15 min (right after reinstall ) then ran fine for 8 hrs ,then crashed again .. Come on' new build ;-)~~~~ can't wait ! i feel its near .. lol .. sending positive vibes to the crew ! all thoes late night mind bending sessions, trying to sleep with code stuck in your heads ! a salute to all your efforts ISI .. and a fresh expresso ~~~~ View attachment 5156
No question about it... It's Lime Rock causing the server crashes. Dave-NRT and I tested and concluded that the only time his or my server crashed, was when Lime Rock was the track loaded. I have not run Lime Rock Park on my server for several days... It's been several days since my server crashed. Hope this helps... sure helped me! BB
Strange that Lime rock would be the only coulpret ,it seems to work fine with the IsR skip B vmod ... we went through the intire track rotation in Babs vmod hitting LR at least 2 times while i was on ..no crashes .. ?? I Just had crash with Megane @ Mid Ohio .. //
Some are luckier than others... ;-) LRP ran for 14 hours fine with people in and out, but as soon as we had about 10 it started crashing, twice in practice, then 2 minutes after we advanced to Q. Hosting at Putnam Park now - - so far with no crashes.
