Thanks for the notice @DJCruicky , this is one of the oldest limitation in package system related to upgrades type of package(which if a base mod has upgrades, then server mod has to be created on upgrades version to avoid conflict). An alternative and easy solution is to just select the "1000km" version of brianza in the track list while creating server mod. Since this is an upgrades type mod, it works the same way as seen in official DLC cars or tracks(base+upgrades versions), and all layouts will be available in this upgrades version number: And next screen all layouts available as normally, and server also works fine(just remove unneeded layouts from server config): And no error in modmgr: The only downside is that the 1000km addon has to be installed.
Thank you for reply. This is the main problem, not everyone would have your update. Some people would, some people would not. The process of having everyone install a 3rd party track update that we are not actually running is an odd thing to get everyone to do. The example with S397 cars you gave, where S397 have base + update versions is fine as every driver has the update already forced through the Workshop, it's not a case where only some might have their update.
I've been slow getting around to trying it out. Happy to report the AI works very well here with woochoo's '66/'67 endurance mod.
Thank you, as always quality work. This layout was much needed, especially to me working on 1967cars physics.
A new standalone "Brianza Historic Edition" is now released on workshop: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3035122004 The old 1000Km addon is removed from workshop. The new standalone version helps avoid track version conflict & server mod mismatch issues, which makes life easier for players and leagues. Additionally, with the kind help from @DJCruicky , we managed to fix various issues, as well as new additions & improvements for all layouts, which are included in this version. More info can be found in the first post and workshop page. Thank you all for the support.
v2.06 - 500 Miglia di Monza This update adds a brand new historic "500 Miles" anti-clockwise oval layout that replicates the real historic oval layout used in 1957-1958 F1 vs Indycar events know as "Race of Two Worlds". The new layout also has reworked main straight & pit areas as seen from real footage. New pit lane & main straight as seen IRL: Pit lane notes: Pit lane has a speed limit of 100kph. Pit area is defined by the red and yellow strips. There is no pit wall or pit lights, practice is recommended. Pit-in detection line is located at the beginning of red strip. Pit-out detection line is located at the end of yellow strip.
I was just at the Indy Museum this past weekend. I might have to dig out that Indy roadster mod again and give it a test. Thanks again for all your work.
v2.07 - Fixed two spots where false cut detection triggered at 1000km. Adjusted next lap invalid distance detection for 10k & 1000km layout. - Fixed a decade long issue with "Safety Car" marshal's headphone occasionally popping out of oval banking. - Add additional restriction to AI paths at each entry & exit of "500 Miles" layout oval section to prevent AIs from going 4 to 6 wide and crashing. Thanks to @DJCruicky for helping with above fixes.
v2.08 - Rebuilt all double-side collision wall objects to league-friendly single-side collision. Car body will no longer get stuck into wall. - Fixed estimated fuel consumption display from garage page for 500 Miles layout. Thanks to @DJCruicky and @Nicolas Hillebrand for providing valuable suggestion & feedback.
Just a friendly notice, this weekend a very fun race coming @SR4L Autumn League using BMW-M1(P2P super powered) and Brianza 1000km: https://forum.studio-397.com/index....m1-league-8-races-sundays.74789/#post-1135541
Hey @svictor , just wanted to ask if there is any possibility to do some tweaks regarding cameras for 1K layout ? Some tweaks of some cameras shaking, and adjustments of camera placing to get better view of chicanes racing action ? There is planned quite nice live broadcast of 1967 Brianza 1000km event December 9th.
v2.09 - Add 14 new tracking cameras to 1000km layout for complete camera coverage at the two bus stop chicanes. 8 new cameras are placed in cam group one, 6 in cam group two, with reference from real footage. some of the new cam angles:
Thats fantastic work @svictor, very swift action also. It will definitely benefit a lot of people, especially for broadcasting. I don't know about others, but I love good set of cameras, to me personally good cameras improves tracks as much as good AI.
