Workshop link: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3035122004 Standalone track update features new layouts, improvements and bug fixes for the 1966 Brianza track made by ISI/Studio 397. New layouts: - 1000Km (full course) layout Replicates the real historical layout used in World Sportscar Championship from 1966 to 1969, includes two permanent bus-stop chicanes (rebuilt on top of 10K layout) and additional surrounding scenery as seen from real footage. - 500 Miles (anti-clockwise oval) layout Replicates the real historic oval layout used in 1957-1958 F1 vs Indycar events known as "Race of Two Worlds", includes reworked main straight & pit areas as seen from real footage. Improvements & fixes: - Support max of 60 vehicles, 30 pit spots on all layouts. - Night lights on all layouts. - Historical cones on 10K & 1000Km layouts as seen from real footage. - New league-friendly single-side collision wall on all layouts, fixed wall-stuck issue. - Rear flap always available on all layouts. - Fixed and optimized cut corridors to current track-cut standards on all layouts. - Rebuilt AI pit extension paths to prevent AI from hitting pit wall on all layouts. - Fixed AI over-speeding, crashing, stuck-in-garage issues in pit lane. - Fixed no-timing issue found on 10K layout, which lap time would not count on the first timed lap after pit out. - Fixed missing armco for Junior layout. - Fixed incorrect shadow casting range on some tree objects. - Fixed safety-car marshal's headphone occasionally popping out of oval banking. - New trackside cameras for 1000km layout. fantastic i was thinking of trying to do the same thing this is great could you please do this to spa 66 (the League Friendly Version has a better road mesh i think) and add the 1938 and 58 lay outs the road mesh is there it just needs the barriers and people rearranging and new aiw file thanks again great work
Sensational stuff mate you continue to surprise only problem I am not near my pc for a few weeks while on holidays, but it will be high on my list to try when I get back.. thanks so much @svictor
Fantastic as always, what a scary layout this was. Is the modern first chicane a rendition to the old one?
Thank you all for the support & comments, as always. Here is some details about how 1000km layout was constructed. While the original track already has the two chicane area modeled, they were still far away from being useful for the new 1000km layout, due to difference grass & road sections, curb height and size. In order to faithfully replicate the two chicanes, many hours were spent at re-modeling those parts, with reference from real life photos and screenshots comparison to GPL version. This includes road surface, curbs, grass, grass verges, etc. And all curbs were also re-modeled higher and have section length matches the real life photos. Besides remodeling, new visual groove was also remapped to follow the two new chicanes driving routes. In order to make the new visual groove seamlessly connecting to the road sections from original 10k layout, two reference groove meshes were created, and many hours were spent at adjusting the edge to match from original road sections.
Here is more historic goodies: v0.91 update - Add new supporting post that modeled after real photo for signal light & arrow banners at first bus-stop chicane. - Add grandstand & crowds that closely matches real photo at first bus-stop chicane. - Slightly reduced cone size, randomized placement orientation. - Corrected UV map & fixed 3D normal for curbs & other objects. - Add specular & bump map for chicane entry mark. - Add additional corner workers at two chicanes.
Victor, we have bumped into a problem when making a server rfmod for the normal version of Brianza when we have your update installed at the same time. In Mod Manger it shows as 'Damaged Mod' in red text. If I remove your update the error disappears. I guess you could get around the problem by making your track stand alone without the need of updates, like I did with Belgium 66. Just letting you know.
