I will have to look up the Simbin thing, again away for the weekend and on my phone doing this is a bit harder.
The problem is; when the mod is good, most of the times the physics are atleast pretty okay also and thus guys are not waiting on some other set of physics to compete with their own work.

But as I said; I will look it up.
    Good idea, thanks!

Recently I drove a mod where the content of the LCD display could be changed and did show e.g. the current standing. Unfortunately I do not recall what mod / vehicle this was. Does anyone know this F1 mod as well?

Nebula Racing League, 2017. Pay to enter. Spec cars, open setup. Not advertising I promise, I just love ma car innit

I'm biased as hell since I'm in the league but hear me out, we put a ton of effort into making this mod accurate over many months.
We have a custom model in the works since mid to late 2016, and the handling model is sometimes a handful, aggressive on the power with a steep curve, with around 950bhp. Gears max out where they do in real life, and at most corners we also use the same gears as real life.

At the first few rounds of our championship, once we've refined our setups, we've always been within half a second of real life times (apart from Monaco, that track version was hilariously inaccurate and we were like 2.5 seconds too fast, lol).

One thing that annoys me is mods that use the fixed setup to shape the mod, then when people start optimising the setup the car loses all of its character and goes round the track in 6 seconds with maximum wings. With our mod, you have to find the perfect setup to get close to real life times, otherwise you'll end up doing the same times as the 2016 cars.

The only thing that doesn't really mirror real life is fuel & tyre consumption which has been scaled to our league's 60ish% race distance, races usually being around 45-50 minutes and 2 to 3 stops.

If you want real life laptime accuracy and want to wrestle a bit of a monster, come sign up :p

DISCLAIMER: It's £5GBP for a license, once you have a license we will give you a link to the mod. You cannot get a refund for your license.
Don't be a dick, if you're gonna pay for your license, give the league a go.

Don't be a dick, respect people's choices. What if somebody just got started on simracing and would only like to play against AI to git gud?

Because it's a league mod and paying for a license just to use the mod and not drive in the league is a bit of a dick move. AI most likely won't work properly anyway, however we might be releasing the mod onto the workshop later in the season.

For those that have it, what is it like, is it better than black gokus ripped mod?

I have tried the beta and currently downloading the full release. sadly, almost impossibly, the ripped mod had better textures.. almost baffling.
    it kinda feels rushed.

I am currently downloading the full release now to see what it looks like now. its only 655mb

Just had a quick look, didn't get a chance to drive. some things look ok like the models etc. but skins still look low res. helmets look not so nice. and some cars look flat. slightly disappointing considering some kid could rip it and make certain things look nicer..

Perhaps they will release better resolution textures.

ill test later today when back home.

    It's on http://acfligue.fr

And performance and physics are better than the asr mod, however this mod does feel rushed, the default cockpit position sucks too. And it only has the default gloves.

Yes the release is rushed. The mod is still beta for me.

The cars looks in Assetto Corso much better than in rF2. The models in rF2 is not right. Look at the tyres and monocoque.

You see it better with the version from BlackGoku

And the Renault is not even yellow/black. It's orange/black.

I'd be more concerned about hitting 377 solo at Monza.

I think the original ASR rip was released with 8k textures

    To each their own.
I'd rather it had low res textures than arcade physics model.
They can take their time to improve on the textures.
And if they don't it's their loss, they won't be selling alot, so long as the physics are nice I'm sold.
377km/h at Monza, don't know, I guess it would be normal for a 2016 F1 car but not 2017?

It's not that bad, it just needed a little more time.
