You would ask for the file format that suits the 3d program you use.
3dsmax would be the choice 2012 compatible. You then set up gmaterials etc and export.
Then play with making the physics.

Not a quick job for most

I should say I welcome anyone that wants to add to the Aussie Legends mod. Once we have these models finished the next step was to create the Aussie Masters Series.

The higher-tier cars were a blast around Bathurst :D. I posted the my race in the video thread.

After some pre-race testing (thanks @Redvaliant for the tip!) I chose the Torana because I couldn't get the Falcon over the top of the hill and thru the Esses without spinning! Every time I stepped on the brakes going downhill the back-end came 'round. The Z28 was more composed but still a handfull and I couldn't do consistent laps in it. Hat's off to the guys who tamed those beasts.

The faster guys did 2.26.XX in the Falcon and Torana - in the right hands they seemed well matched. The Falcon pulls away on the straights with better low-end grunt. The Torana had to be thrashed to keep in touch but is more nimble the twistys. Loads of fun to throw around even tho' it had huge lift-off oversteer cocking the inside front wheel.

Just a couple of graphical things I noticed:

    - In replays, at a distance the bonnet/hood seem 'detached' with big panel gaps - but as the car comes closer it snaps together.

    - From in-car the front wing is 'missing' altho' you can see a faint edge line. There are big gaps to the side window to the door frame.

Been browsing the cars on this site. They even have my Dad's old car - Opel Rekord 1900, altho it's the wrong model year, his was '75 in metallic brown which was the rage at the time. The wheels aren't quite right either, but still very cool to see there's a 3D model of it in existence. I've never seen it in any game.

As someone said above, the cars need more AO on their skins. I see they have some, but they still looking flat.
Also I suggest playing with spec fresnel values of all the shiny surfaces, from chrome parts to headlights and such, including specular power too, and maybe reflection fresnel values as well. Again, all is looking kinda flat for now, like it's only diffuse, with a little bit of reflection on it.
And finally I'd suggest removing the tint from cockpit view windows, it makes everything look very dark. Maybe instead add some texture of dirt and blots, like in AC Cobra or Dissenter windshields...

The cars drive very well, especially the Camaro is lovely to drive. And nice to have the Bartlett's car, I get this livery is from Sandown? I got a diecast of it, from Bathurst race.

I've been really busy with work so haven't had much time to do anything. In about a month work will quite down and I'll have time so hopefully get v1.0 out.
Keep finding issues and Ill do my best to fix them when I get the time.;)

Hi, I just tried to download these cars from the website but only 3 of the downloads worked. Everytime I clicked download for the Torana, all XA XB XC XY falcons, It didn't redirect me to the mediafire page and instead it downloaded a 125 KB sized file referring to a firefox html document. I'm unsure what I have done wrong and have even tried using other browsers but keep coming up with the same issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I really want to get these cars onto the track :)
