I had this dream because in addition to liking AC very much the game sold a lot and theyre not an independent studio anymore. Just a pipe dream it seems. But anyways. Moving on to the next best hopefully less impossible thing: SMS F1 series
I dont like Ac much but liked a lot features they announce of this new game (some that i read here). Only thing i didn´t like to hear around here ( and im not reading official news from them) is that the new game will not be moddable. But, again, my english isnt very good so the english of these guys on video plus audio is horrible. I´m not understanding shit about what they are saying in 30 sec i tried to watch the video
I cant remember anything new in this interview. Maybe part 2 will have something. Everything had already been covered in the announcement Q&A. They talk about things like the fact that mods will not be actively supported BUT Kunos will not stop anyone from doing it if the modders figure out a way, new physics guy working on a better tyre flex model that is going to be also visually represented this time, a driver doing handling consulting, if the game works easily with Win7 maybe that SO may be listed as supported in the future.
I find AC fairly poor Not much depth in the feel of physics through the ffb ( maybe lack of good physics or poor ffb delivery or both I don’t know) Due to this I’m not holding my breath for the new offeteing regardless of how pretty graphics are
They are making a reasonable business decision. Sim titles are a tiny percentage of sales compared to games like Forza and Grand Tourism. The only way Codemasters can make a success out of the official F1 license is by selling way more copies than AC or RF2 or PC2. And the reason they sell this amount is because they make a game that caters to a wide range of gamers, not sim addicts. I think you will be waiting some time for any sim title to release official F1 licensed content.
Maybe another studio could make the game using the engine? More grippy, more forgiving operating windows for every aspect of the cars, etc. Like the majority of EA F1 titles with the ISI engine from the period.
Thats an interesting statement and hope he keeps his word. So, sooner someone figure out the way, sooner i´ll take a closer look
From what I hear about the moding community they seem to work together and share. So I don't think it will take long for the 'community' to figure it out? And if I understood what Kunos stated is they won't have time to support mods at first (year or so) but I'm sure they know mods in AC is a huge selling point and will help eventually. Especially if GT3's is all they're doing.
You got it wrong! Its misinformation!! But seriously. These guys have been telling me there's nothing wrong with AC's physics since tire mod 5.
There's always been the impression that AC online is populated by the drifting/touge/trackday crowd, so I took a closer look (6:15pm-6:30pm London time, 10:15am-10:30am my time today). First off, of the 2358 players in-game, 842 were online (35%). Of the populated servers, Nurburgring Tourist was occupied on 13 different servers (out of 120 that were populated). That's not to say that it had the most players (haven't counted), just that it was available and populated. The top 10 most commonly available & occupied tracks totaled 56% of the variety and 40% of those are oriented towards drift/touge/trackday. That theme continues: 40% of all available & occupied tracks are also drift/touge/trackday. So very likely, if you enter a race (rather than drift/touge/trackday), it will be on: Spa (11 servers) Nurburgring of some form other than Tourist (10 servers) Laguna Seca (7 servers) Brands Hatch (5 servers) Dijon (4 servers) Monza (4 servers) So, yeah, active online choices for racers in AC are rather limited. On the other hand, if the population count matches the server count (again, I don't know because I haven't counted), then it's still impressive that there are potentially 505 racing participants.
Emery is the online of Assetto corsa a Wreck festival like Project cars 2 ? i m really dissapointed with pcars 2 cause it seems that playes there must be blind or they think they play Project wreck 2 or wreckroom experience or call it what ever. i dont like Assetto corsa handling but i ll buy it if online is decent.
You would think with the name he gave himself he'd have a better ratio: Messages: 306. Likes Received: 8
No idea as I haven't bothered with AC online other than looking at the list of servers and thinking how boring to always be at Spa or Nurburgring with GT3 cars.
