They reported this post to me and I intend to respond. The 1992 mod of rF2 is a conversion of our 1992 mod of rF1 which was released without my full consent from Sderenno. I personally withdrew that mod because it was qualitatively not in our standards. Moreover, it was made when rF2 was in the beginning and therefore never been updated. Let's say it was an experiment for a first approach to modding rF2. But the mod was not supposed to be released! I inform you that I am working on the 1992 season with updated models and that half a grid is made. I would like to clarify that only ASR can release its contents, through our website or through steam workshops. No one is authorized to release any unauthorized and modified part of our work. Obviously everyone can make changes only if for personal use without publishing it. I ask you to be patient, the 1992 mod will also arrive on rF2 when it is mature. Thanks. Hope you understand and respect our work. PS. Please remove mod link on this forum.
Just for curiosity @trollray How many times you need for an ibr shaders update for one car like those? Is it a difficult process?
I believe that before starting a job and publishing screens and files, it is necessary to ask for authorization from the undersigned to avoid working unnecessarily. This is not just about updating the PBRs. The work I'm doing goes way beyond shaders. There is a massive 3d update. Of course being the owner and working on my 1992 mod (he is known to follow us), this becomes competitive and disrespectful. Please remove any files on this forum. Thanks again for understanding.
Ok guys, calm down a bit please. @alesanchez Little story will help undestand better First : I was alerted on this mod by @Hazi who ask me to correct some things not working on my tracks conversion. (These tracks conversion are made with all permissions as i always ask before) I was looking at this mod to know where problems was. Then, i red in this thread that this mod was abandoned and i have take some free time to ubpdate the PBR and some stuff. Second : I put some pictures of my work. This is my mistake. I should have ask ASR before but was just happy to show the cars and trully thought it was really abandoned. Should i be blamed for being anthousiast? hmm. Third : I follow your work and appreciate it of course. That's why i was asking via a message to @Sderenno before releasing something. (First name that came to me, simple as that. ) You tell me it's not possible, no problem, i will keep it private. Sorry for people sad, That's the respect rules i would never broke. Be patient, ASR will do it as @alesanchez said. Last but not least, Please don't blame me for doing this and don't think about competion or disrespect from my part. It"s really not the case. My pleasure is to make mods and i do it for free...
Hello @trollray . First of all I want to say that I am very calm. Second, I don't blame anyone. I just made it clear. Sderenno is not the contact person. When you have a question, contact the official ASR Formula email directly on our website, or more easily on Discord. Our 1992 mod is not abandoned but in progress. We are an active team. The important thing is to have clarified! No problem.
I said, "guys", didn't target someone lol No problem for me too, happy that is clarified and keep this good modding spirit in rf2
Alright everyone. I would like to say sorry also to all of you. I have given a wrong hope to this mod. I'm not alowed and i will not give the result of my hard work to anybody. All must understand and respect the position of ASR and i will had the same position if someone would use my work without permission. My mistake was to be a bit too enthousiast and not search enough if this mod was really "abandoned". In fact, the new version from ASR will replace this one and from what i've saw, it will certainly justify the wait. I hope everyone understand this. "Always learn from mistake" Anyway, i will give you a compensation with the talent file. (Link will follow asap ) This one will make the cars work with all the 1986 historical edition tracks. I could also tell you that my next track will be Spa and it's in good progress. (But don't expect it for this weekend lol ) Cheers
Here is the talent file. Need probably some fine tunings but that should work. https://mega.nz/file/djxxEYIJ#50JPXox6X9ukHDqmZr2y040WuTyEN-rAlgKSkcqPH1g
@alesanchez i would like to do 2 questions to you if you don't mind: - When is this 1992 mod supposed to be released? - I remember this mod from several years ago and it was a blast to drive, why ASR mods right now have so much grip? The driving is not so challenging as it was before... Thanks for all you've made on those historic cars, i'm a fan of your job!
I can't know when I will release the full 1992 mod. It is under development. As I explained, only half of the cars grid received the necessary upgrade. I want to achieve maximum detail by taking care of every aspect.
If you read above, the owners of the models, ASR, came here to state that this was illegally converted from rF1, so this cannot be public. ASR is nearly finished on the 1991 mod so they will move to work on the 1992 soon.
yes I know but it's in the meantime!! Asr is an amazing team!! I look forward to their final mod of 92
I started to read this thread getting so anxious to get to my PC to download the mod because I absolutely love the 91 cars and by the time getting to the end of the thread im like a flat balloon, all deflated. I hope the updated cars come soon.
The 1992 are nearly done. They are already in the last stages of development (seen pictures on the showroom and they look, as usual, amazing).
Looks sooo Great! Fantastic job. (ps: Did ASR plan to make the 1990 season? Two cars are already done. The Ferrari 641 and the Mclaren was the best F1 desing of all time i my eyes but could be so great to see the rest of the pack ) Cheers
To be honest, I don't know. I took the photos from their Discord but I haven't followed in depth discussions on the matter.
1991 Released 1992 Complete by end of year 1993 To start early next year The following season they said will be a surprise
