[REL] Apex Modding - 1999 Endurance Championship

Drove the Bmw V12 LMR yesterday (in VR). 3D Model looks nice driver hands a little bit small.
But what bothered me most was the sound. The difference between OnThrottle and OffThrottle is kind of...weird.
And after shifting from 1st to 2nd gear, something is wrong

The cockpit sound is phenomenal.
Trackside sound a bit quiet and not so trumpet-like.
Trackside sound could be better.
Tail lights/brake lights difficult to recognize.
The bomber is really fun.

Do you still make updates and which ones...?

 

I wish. But unless it is something uploaded on RD or on Workshop, my hands are tied :/

 

Hi, i'm trying to do a custom skin for the Mercedes, the body work just fine as well as the exterior and interior windows. The problem that i have is with the rear wing, i can change the color what is my problem is to replace the Mobil 1 logo's. I notice that the rear wing as two textures assign to it, CLR_carbon.dds which is for the carbon faber which can be change for a solid color then there is a secondary texture CLR_body.dds which is the car body who as the rear wing in it with the Mobil 1 logo's in the alpha channel but the logo's doesn't appear on the wing part of the file. No matter what i try i'm unable to replace the Mobil 1 logo's with another one so my question is how can i replace it with one of my choosing ?

Hi @yoss i've tried that and the Mobil 1 logo's are still showing i only modify the black region is it possible its in another of the region maps ?

 

Alpha channel can be the culprit too

I tested the Porsche GT2 yesterday evening.
What I noticed
the steering is much heavier than in the Viper.
It fits perfectly with the viper.
The feel of the steering for the road is also not as good as that of the viper. (curbs, surface, grass).
The rearview mirrors don't fit perfectly.
Blurry, car too big, something doesn't fit.
Can you still fix this?
Otherwise, great machine!

 

Next planned update is the lmr somewhere this week ,thanks for the feedback about the porsche we look about.

Virtual interior rearview mirror, it doesn't fit!

 

First post updated with links and description, as well as the topic title. It's fair enough to call it "REL" with 5 of the 6 cars now available publicly .

We will be rounding up feedback and may update the Porsche when the Nissan gets uploaded to the workshop.

 

The Porsche is fantastic, thank you for your hard work!
One other issue with the mirrors; the side mirrors aren't independently adjustable from the center mirror.

Hello yoss, I also have a question about the CLR. The green and yellow rpm-led are not displayed on the steering wheel, although the corresponding dds files are contained in the mas file. Can this be fixed by changing the ini files or does the animation file have to be revised?

We've rounded up updates and fixes to three of the cars. They'll be going live the next few days, preceding the release of the Nissan.

The betas and early pre-workshop updates are available to our Patreons, whom we thank for continuously supporting us and covering a meal out every month .

 

We have an update coming to the Viper very soon, thanks to Matt Strand. Also, the Nissan R391's release candidate is available to our Patrons for testing. Only a minor cosmetic update will come before its Workshop release, which may be next week/weekend.
